The room, linens, bathroom, bar fridge and microwave were clean.
Near the coat rack was a folding luggage rest that came in handy too.
Room has heating/ac unit with full temperature control access also a recycling box next to trash can under the sink.
Their lobby has an amazing DVD library. The large open lobby is where they provide a nice continental breakfast and it has many tables with a TV usually playing news.
Also its located fairly central with so many places within walking distance like the marina, beaches, LCBO, and several restaurants, pubs, and stores that (at least all the ones we visited) were very good! Plus the staff & owners are very friendly which shows they take a great deal of pride ensuring the hotel is a cozy place to stay.
Next trip up I'll definitely stay there again!

We stayed at the Leisure Inn in Haileybury in July (July 1-4, 2020) for a long awaited visit with family and friends. The hotel was an older-style motel and I wasn’t sure what to expect when we pulled up. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in some pretty impressive hotels across Canada. We were very pleasantly surprised! Ernie and Pam (owners) were welcoming and gracious, the motel was clean as a whistle, parking lot super clean, property well maintained, the bed was comfy, water pressure in the shower was awesome. Our room had a fridge which we appreciated because it was >30 Celsius every day. If I had to complain about something, it was that the a/c was a bit noisy—but nothing that kept us awake.

As a side note, beautiful Lake Temiskaming is literally a stone’s throw from the motel and we made sure to walk along the water every day. The area is safe, quiet, and the waterfront has many attractions. It would be great for kids (we didn’t have any with us). There are a few choices for food close by (Are U Hungries, Country Style) but bear in mind this is not Toronto and the streets roll up at about 9pm. We had meals daily at our families’ homes.

This motel exhibited small town charm and we actually enjoyed it more than many of the “chain” hotels we have stayed at. Overall amazing stay and we will definitely be back!

Very clean room and breakfast area. The room looked exactly as in the photos posted by the owner. The beds and pillows were soft ( not suitable for all type of sleepers), but good for us. Additional item provided ,such as a food cover for the microwave. Option for visitors to eat in the breakfast area ( tables set-up 2 m apart & face covering signs posted around the inn).

The location is perfect- great restaurants within the block and the beach literally beside the motel. Convenient to walk everywhere. The shower water pressure is amazing! Very clean room. Ernie the owner was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the modified continental breakfast (due to Covid) which is included, and also had fun selecting DVDs to watch for free. Quiet, calm and wonderful break by the lake. Would definitely return! Thanks!

A lovely motel style just steps from the beach. Extremely clean and comfortable. Very hardworking owners and staff! Everyone is very helpful and eager to do just about anything to make your stay perfect.
A short walk from several fabulous restaurants.
I can’t say enough about this motel!

For a last minute booking, this was surprisingly a good hotel for a great rate. It's steps from the beach and a great walking area. The room was large and clean. The staff from booking to departure were very nice. There was a continental breakfast which we were able to eat outside on the patio.

We had a room with two double beds. The beds were quite firm. Our room was on the second floor with both interior and exterior access. We were steps from the stairs to bring our gear to and from the room. Lots of free parking spaces.

My only recommendation is to bring your own pillows.

Call the hotel directly to book your room versus going through a third party service.

We spent a few wonderful restful nights here while moving home. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well laid out, and the staff really helpful and thoughtful. Great experience, and great value for money. Highly recommended. Thank you Ernie, Pam and Kristie - your hospitality meant a lot.

The best. we have HD cable tv with eastlink. we offer a great selection of channels including 7 movie channels and all the tsn and sports net channels for sports. hope that helps. Ernie Harman, Owner, Leisure Inn

Hi, sorry I did not see your question earlier. we do take pets and charge an additional $10 per night so we can do a good job of cleaning for the next customer. if you have them in a crate when you are gone, then that saves the room. if they are well behaved and don't bark when you are gone that helps as well. The answer is whatever works for you and you feel comfortable with for your pet. We do have to charge you if the pet does destroy anything in the room. this does not happen often. just trying to explain. hope to see you soon as it warms up. Ernie Harman, Owner, Leisure Inn
