Highly recommended. The way to this Lodge is a little Safari by itself. But you will find excellent hosts and brilliant food and a very good accommodation in the middle of the bush. If you are lucky you even can spot wild animals directly from...More

We spent a wonderful 4 days at Mbizi.
Right from the start, entering the reserve for the first time, we were struck by the sight of an elephant crossing the track in front of us.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mbizi. Michael and Mette were great hosts and took good care of us. I felt at a friend’s home rather than in a lodge. The lodge itself and the guest houses are very nice. We traveled with 4 kids and...More

Hi Vicky
We were here in August and did a game drive with Michael and a guided tour to Kruger during our stay. Would highly recommend the drive with Michael - I think very good value for money and great to do before Kruger to give you a flavour of what to expect. You can either drive in the Kruger yourself or get a private guide. The main advantage of the guide is they communicate with each other to find the animals - we saw lions we wouldn't have seen without our guide - and you are higher up in the game vehicles which is good. Also not having to drive means you can relax more. I would recommend a guided tour if you can stomach the cost.
Hope that helps
Ben
Hi
The safari is not included, but there are local safaris for ZAR 250 for 2½hour or safaris in Kruger for ZAR 650 to ZAR 2600/ person
Just write the lodge and we will arrange the tours for you.
Kind regards
Mette

Hi Michel.
Thank you for your interest in Mbizi Bush Lodge.
We do have a room available for you in the mentioned period.
We can arrange a full day guided safari in an open game vehicle in the Kruger Park, it is ZAR 1965/person + conservation fee app R 280/person.
You can also self drive, day conservation fee is app R 280/person.
Please remember there is no big 5 guarantee, the Kruger park is a big area and especially leopards are very shy, so you have to be lucky to see them all in one go.
Please book in real time at our website.
Kind regards from the bush
Mette
