We loved everything the place the animals the rooms the beds the food the staff and the owners the game drives an relaxing atmosphere iz wa our second trip to Muweti bush lodge and we enjoyed it from the first minute
Muweti Bush Lodge is a gem of a place to stay. It is so peaceful there and the room (chalet with a veranda) we stayed in is unique with everything you need for comfort but also being so close to nature (we had elephants drinking from a waterhole literally within a few meters of us, as well as having giraffes pass nearby). Hardas bought us on fantastic morning and evening game safaris, as well as feeding us with lovely tailormade breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. He is very knowledgeable about all the animals in the area and is keen to help guests in anyway he can during their stay. The pool is a real added bonus, especially on really hot days! It's great to have no tv for a few days but wifi is good, so you can post up the fabulous pics you take, no problem. Staying at Muweti is more an experience of a lifetime than just a nice break away and we would highly recommend it. PS: We say a leopard amongst the animals during our 4 night stay there!!!…
Mike, Laura and the hard working guides and staff at Muweti have hung on in there! How good is that for us all ?! It's the best thing since sliced bread. My partner and i have stayed with these beautiful people many times over the years, and consider them friends. Whatever you're reason for visiting the Greater Kruger area, you will not be better positioned to have the most memorable trip both in terms of accommodation, location, knowledge and passion for the bush. If i ever only go to one place again in my lifetime this is it. Guess what... you're going to have to visit for yourself (jealous) :) Go find yourself in the bush Sharon xx
Affordable big 5 self catering cottage for a family with children. Good game drives on large are. Grietjie however have a lot of houses that you can see while driving. Only negative point is that the cottage has now view point on a waterhole for animals or brids.
Muweti is a beautiful camp of tented chalets (kinda like yurts) right in the middle of Grietjie Nature Reserve, which is part of Greater Kruger Park. Sadly, Muweti is one of the only lodges currently operating in Grietjie as the rest grapple with the the hardships of the pandemic, BUT I believe the reason they are still operating is because they offer a fist-class and unforgettable experience! Our host, game driver, and sometimes cook, Hardus was wonderful--so full of hospitality, eager to share stories, and extremely helpful in every way. The food was delicious, the ambiance was romantic, and the animals were super cool. I can't wait to visit again in the future!
