Very friendly and clean property. Location is great. Room was very clean. Plenty of hot water for showers. Like the soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion dispensers. These certainly must save a lot of waste.

14 members of my extended family stayed here 3-5 days for my Mother's funeral. The hotel was quiet, the kids liked the pool, the breakfast area was neat and clean and breakfast included hot and cold foods and was available for ample hours. The entire staff from the manager to the janitor was friendly, caring, and professional and exceeded our expectations to accommodate our needs. For example, the church would not allow a luncheon after the funeral due to COVID so Kal (manager) allowed us to use the hotel conference room and outdoor patio for two evenings so our family could gather in private. A special thanks to Brenda (daytime) and Susie (night time) who made sure our every need was met. I can't emphasize enough how much their actions meant to me and my family during this difficult time. We take frequent road trips all over the United States and stay at a wide variety of chain and private hotels. This was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 309. We are light sleepers and it was very quiet.

Clean, comfortable, economical motel. Has obviously been nicely updated in the recent past. Staff very helpful and friendly. WiFi seemed pretty good. Small frig and microwave in the room (we did not use either) Free breakfast including hot items, certainly satisfactory and in a clean and attractive setting.
About 5 min drive to downtown Sault. Plenty of convenient free parking.
The fitness area and pool looked clean and well lighted (Altho we did use either)
I followed the tip of a previous reviewer and requested 3rd floor rear area. Room very quiet.

My boyfriend and I travel for work and stay with Hilton hotels all year around. At 12 o’clock today we got a knock on our door while we were showering saying that we had an hour to check out. When we asked why the manager said that we were cussing loudly and “refused entry” into our room and then proceeded to say that our room also smelled like weed when no one even ever came in to our room. (we did not have any weed, we’re here for business) We even asked them to come in our room and verify the smell and they would not. I have never gotten a noise complaint in the middle of the day but on top of that we didn’t get a single warning. We asked the manager if there was anyone else higher up we could talk to and once again he REFUSED and stated that this was his property and he can do what he wants with it. I don’t know who would kick people out onto the streets knowing that they are in a foreign place. Because of this experience I will NEVER stay at a Hampton inn again. The manager is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever met and I wish I knew how to contact somebody higher to formally complain.

I've stayed at other Hampton Inn hotels, even international. Honestly, this was lacking the commodities we are expecting from staying at a hotel.
There's no coffee in the lobby ( not even behind the counter like so many hotels nowadays provide), no teabags, no housekeeping service (unless you request it). The hotel manager was the only person who was very attentive, aside from the housekeeping staff you ran into the hallways. The front desk personnel was so dry.
At least the hotel was clean. But we were not impressed with our stay.

Every staff member we encountered during our stay was friendly and helpful. When we came to breakfast, the front desk clerk, Kristine, asked how we were. We mentioned the noisy stomping footsteps at midnight in the room above. I asked if there was a possibility of changing rooms since we were staying two more nights. She was able to move us to the top floor and suggested a room facing the woods. We had two quiet, peaceful nights. I did inform the manager of Kristine's helpfulness. It's nice when employees are given the chance to make decisions that work best in the customer's favor rather than having to ask a superior for advice. Everyone here works as a team to support their guests.
We enjoyed the pool and the fitness center. Every inch of the hotel was clean and hand sanitizers available in convenient places. Even the stairways, which in most hotels are dingy and neglected, were wide, carpeted and smelled fresh.

We vacationed in the Sault to go snow tubing and realized once we arrived the tubing hill was closed for the weekend. We were so disappointed but the staff at the Hampton Inn, specifically Melissa, helped turn our weekend around. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was far better then any hotel breakfast we’ve had. The staff was exceptional. Melissa gave us a map and recommendations on other things to do in the area, we mentioned we were on vacation for my sons birthday and the next morning when he went to breakfast she had a birthday card and goodie bag for him. It really made his day! We’re sorry we couldn’t stay another night but we are booking a Hampton Inn again tonight based on our experience at the Sault Ste Marie location. I hope the owners recognize that Melissa is really a gem!

Excellent Hotel--and very friendly staff. The handicap accessible room was well designed for maneuvering a wheelchair. The bathroom was exceptionally large and there was a total of eight handrails to help with mobility. The complimentary breakfast was very good.

The hotel is conveniently located, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The newly re-done pool and hot tub were great to use on what was a cool and rainy day when we arrived.
Major bonus for me as I was driving an electric car, is that they have charging spots out front that are free to use for hotel guests. Super convenient.
Breakfast is pretty basic in these days of a pandemic, but at least include a piece of fresh fruit.

When my husband made the on-line reservation he added a request for a room away from the elevator & ice machine on an upper floor (we understand this is a best-effort request). We arrived on a Sunday @ 3:30 pm to a sparsely filled parking lot. The front desk employee was not impolite but said very few words - we didn't catch his name but he had a beard and an AR-15 tattoo on his forearm. He assigned us a room on the 3rd floor (great) but as the elevator opened we found our room was directly across from the elevator door. Upon returning to the lobby and requesting a room further away from elevators & ice machines, he then assigned a room on the second floor, which turned out to be... immediately next to the elevator. *sigh*
My husband, now frustrated, returned for a 3rd try and told the employee that he felt like he was getting a runaround. In response, this employee then literally threw both arms in the air, turned his back on my husband and disappeared into the back office without another word. At that moment, another employee (Duane) stepped up to the counter and politely asked how he could help, while my husband explained our situation. Duane very politely explained that the housekeeping staff was a little behind at the moment but that they should have a number of better rooms available if we could wait about 10 minutes. We said yes, absolutely, and in just a few minutes he walked over with key cards for a great room on the 3rd floor at the end of the hallway. Perfect. Our stay for 4 nights was fine aside from our negative check-in experience with a very unprofessional employee. This was a minor request and my husband was not belligerent or even raised his voice. I want to commend Duane for his professionalism and manner in resolving things for us with a solution that was actually very simple. I did submit this feedback to the Hampton Inn. I didn't specifically request that they contact me and I haven't heard back from them.
