The staff was nice and helpful and the place looks very great from the outside, but it is getting run down on the inside. It does not seem like it is being maintained possibly at all?? They really need to get on that before the place becomes a huge run down mess. The breakfast hours end at 9;30 which is early, 10;30 would be much better. You cant turn the hot tub on, as it makes this loud horrible high pitch somewhat grinding noise. Our comforter blankets had a foul odor. We put them in the hallway and never saw them again. The rest of the bedding was fine, but it did make us a bit concerned over all as you can imagine. Finally, the carpet in our room was filthy. My child spilled something. I grabbed a wet whip to clean it up and the wipe was brown, like mud in seconds. It was appalling. Very disappointed with our experience.

enjoyable stay. front desk staff friendly, happy, helpful. Breakfast consisted of 3 - 4 mini muffins in a basket and that was in about the middle of the posted hours for food. Room comfortable, excellent wifi, within walking distance of Wal-Mart if any forgotten items forgotten and city easy to navigate. Short distance to International Bridge.

Reading the reviews scared me upon check in. When i got the keys, I went and inspected the room before I brought my family inside. All ended up working out. The blue lighting in the halls were kind of weird. Our inside lock which allowed the door to open a few inches was busted and we had no deadbolt but we felt secure. Kids liked the pool and breakfast was okay given the covid precautions that were taken. I most likely would stay elsewhere considering the other reviews mentioned but our stay served its purpose as we continued on our vacation travels.

We chose this hotel as the last hotel of our week vacation of the Upper Peninsula because it advertised free breakfast and swimming pool and hot tub and close to downtown. I called ahead after booking just to make sure the pool was open and I got a rude, man who I could not decifer what business I was calling, and he just said "No." There was no apology or explanation or courtesy to an oncoming, paying guest. The room, had no tissues, 1 bar of soap and used shampoo,, conditioner and lotion, soiled sitting chairs, no information about who to contact for amenities. Customer service was cold and unfriendly. Like we were a bother to them. The "coffee bar" was coffee and plain cream and sugar. No other drinks or to- go breakfast. The pool and hot tub were closed. Never again. This is sad since I am a Wyndham rewards member and tent to use their hotels as possible.

This place was absolutely horrible. For starters the room smelled so bad like mold and moth balls it was hard to breathe. The jetted tub did not work. We asked them upon check not to charge the card that was used to make the reservation and they did it anyway. There was a tick in our bed. The mattress was so old and lumpy we couldn't sleep. The air conditioner broke half way through the night. The owners were awful to talk with and did not treat their paying guests how they should have.

Nice location, older decor. Unmanned Service desk. “press 0 to reach staff” sign on counter. Warm water in Dispenser on counter. Stayed for a weekend Hockey Tournament, 2 complete Midget 18u teams & family stayed. BUT Convenient “Catastrophic Failure“ of the Pool & Hot Tub. No reduced rate offered. But one family was told “You’d pay More somewhere else, if you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else” Breakfast was 4 types of Cereal, Instant Oatmeal selection, Old Coffee Saturday, fresh coffee Sunday, ONE Eggo waffle Saturday, ZERO Sunday. White & Wheat bread, White & Blueberry Bagels, yogurts, bananas, V8, Apple & Orange Juice. NO PROTEINS (no Eggs, no Peanut Butter, nothing). The only plus was they didn’t shut it down right at 9:30am We Rented 2 rooms, 1 had inoperable heat, got transferred to another room. 1 family booked a King room for recent surgery, got a 2 Full size room. Another room had heat failure, they brought them a portable space heater. The Housekeeping staff were a 5 star. Great, Friendly, Took great care when asked for replacement towels, etc. One family stayed home sick, tried calling for hours to try and cancel, but no answer, they ended up having to contact Days Inn corporate to cancel. How long til they drop the Days Inn Franchise (or Wyndham drops them) & become the Soo Dry Dock hotel?

I just got home from my stay up in the UP. I went to visit my husband in Sault Ste. Marie. I travel a lot, and I stay in many hotels, I have never considered Wyndham to be low class until now. When you look up the Hotel it says there is a fitness center there is not, on top of that the windows had mold, mold in the bathroom walls and the smell was ridiculous. I do have pictures of the mold and the holes in the bathroom we’re shotty construction work was done. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated as I was there with my mother-in-law, The only reason we didn’t leave right away is the majority of the rooms around we’re booked up and she was too exhausted to deal with traveling anymore or changing rooms. The free continental breakfast was old bananas, a pre-pakaged mini honey bun and cold coffee. The ladder to the hot tub was missing all the middle steps (ouch). The pillows are extremely lumpy and old. Broken entry doors.

Worst experience ever for a hotel stay. I have never met an owner of a hotel that couldn't care less about their customers! I can only assume that this place is a front for some other shady business dealings. Horrible smell of sweaty, musty clothing in addition to cigarette/marijuana smoke! They do not have supplies to refill soap or shampoo and they do not change the sheets. I checked with others in the area and they provide maid service, so this is not an unusual request even during COVID. Thank God we were able to go to a better location and experience friendly staff at another establishment.

Reserved king bed and sofa. Got king bed and jacuzzi. At 65+ traveling with 15 year old grandson, not good. I spent the night on a blow up mattress on the floor beside the jacuzzi. $200🤬 Breakfast was bleak, toilet clogged on first use.
