Was not told at time of making reservations that the pool would be closed on the date of our stay. We were not told upon check in either. When we discovered it was closed and inquired with the clerk she said management was willing to make adjustments in the room rate and to check with the manager in the morning upon check out. The manager was tied up with a regional manager inspecting the property when we were checking out and I was told she would call me. She didn’t. I called back later in the week and left another message. I never heard back and no adjustment was ever made. Had we known the pool would be closed we would have chosen another hotel.

I've stayed here twice now and have been happy with this hotel. Its location is good. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. The casino is only about 10 minutes away. The rooms are nice and clean with a solid selection of channel choices. The staff has treated us well both times. The breakfast is very good. The pool and hot tub were out of order but were working this time and were good. The only thing that was really weird was both times, there were a number of exterior doors were not accessible from the outside. I would think they would want to repair those. End of the day, I would stay here again.

The beds are really nice. The co.mon areas look to be under construction. All the floor boards were missing in the hallways.

The jets in the hot tub do not work. I spoke with a friend who stayed there a month ago, and they did not work then either.

The location was good. My husband was in a bowling tournament at Dondee Lanes and it was a very short drive to the bowling alley.

This place was clean and pristine! I had no qualms with staying here with Covid. The location is in a great place too as Applebee's is right next door, Buffalo Wild Wings is across the parking lot and several fast food restaurants are nearby. Obviously the breakfast is limited (with the pandemic) to cold items. I definitely recommend this place!

What a great stay, when I walked into the lobby, the manager was cleaning and the front desk person was smiling and happy to see me! The room was quiet, even though people were slamming the doors most of the night. The cleaning was perfect, the continental breakfast was cold, but still good. A bagel would have been a nice option instead of all the sweets. They offer full cleaning of the room or no tough at all. Nice stay, will be back!

Stayed for the first time for one night. WIFI doesn't work. They give you instructions and passcode, but it does not work. We called the front desk and they said no one could come to look at it. We could not leave, because it was pass cancellation. We talked to several desk clerks and each was saying the same thing "I'll see what I can do" Nothing was done and we had to drive to McDonalds to use the WIFI. It was a truly one of the worst stays ever.

Our new admin is the worst - booked me in this dump. I tried to like it but when I arrived, the front desk assistant was outside smoking. After she finally returned, I was given my room - right on the courtyard she was smoking in.

The room carpet was sticky and smelled musty. Not sure how this place keeps its accreditation. I need a new admin!

Fabulous stay and great customer service! We enjoyed a great, clean comfortable 2-room suite with hot tub that felt like a mini apartment. It included a refrigerator, microwave, desk and wet bar. Check in was friendly and she even called to make sure we liked our room and that everything was to our satisfaction.

Very nice hotel . The staff at the front were excellent. The gentleman at the front was nice enough to give us a room on the ground floor not far from the entrance door. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was really nice. Good breakfast and spacious. Excellent location with stores and resurants around the hotel. Liked it so much we end up staying for 3 nights. A hour drive up to Whitefish where the Ship Wreck Museum is and a short drive into town to see the locks. A great Stay

So, you may not know but Sault Saint Marie is the oldest city in Michigan. Established 1668. You also may not know that this hotel was built the same year. It’s been covered in lipstick since then. The smell was horrendous. The floors were disgusting. If you have this or your vehicle near a dumpster, stay in your vehicle!!!

I usually eat breakfast around 6 to 6:45 a.m. And I would call the hotel and ask them. Just use your smartphone for information for this hotel. But if I posted it it was a good breakfast I enjoyed it good luck on your trip
