Detailed Reviews
It was nice to read all the reviews saying how well maintained this place was. I totally agree. Both exterior and interior spaces were neat, tidy and had extras like geraniums planted in boxes outside each room. The room smelled a little "old" or musty, but not moldy. The room was big enough, but the bathroom was really small. The exhaust fan in there worked fantastically! There was lots of hot water, with plenty of pressure. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows, and everything was spotless.
I was most impressed with the coffee machine that delivered fresh "bold" Folger's at any time. I'm pretty picky about coffee taste, and this was pretty good.
I realize it was a Friday night in early Oct. but I think $130 for a room here is quite a bit too high.

I was delighted in finding this motel. The owners, Marsha and Tony, obviously take great pride in maintaining their facility. It showed in everything. My room was immaculately clean. All fixtures worked perfectly. Check-in and check-out were quick and convenient. On arrival, Marsha even provided me with a walking map of the area, and offered suggestions to make my experience in Sault Ste. Marie even more memorable. They even offer complimentary 24-hour coffee! I absolutely recommend this motel!

I am usually hesitant on a small ma and pa hotel but decided to give this hotel a chance due to the good reviews. This is the cleanest motel I have stayed in.. this is the reason I am hesitant due to past experiences. This hotel was cleaner then some of the big chains I have stayed at. Bed was comfortable! The staff were all very friendly and gave great recommendations for breakfast and dinner.
24 hour coffee, hot chocolate and a vending machine with snacks at a very reasonable price. A bag of Popcorn I believe was $1.00 and a microwave is available to pop it. Toaster and Paper plates available if needed along with some other basic necessities but we didn't need them so I can't remember all of it.
If we travel back to the area we will definitely be back!!

We stopped in the Soo just to see the area in the winter. Mother Nature did not disappoint.
Neither did the staff. They made sure the parking area was cleared of snow-in fact hand shoveled around our truck in the morning.
The bathroom was very very big. Nice!
Water was easily adjusted.
This is a descent motel for the price. By the way-it was very quiet too!!

+1
I chose this hotel simply because of the price. I was only there overnight but everything about it was great. The check in process was simple and done in less than 5 minutes. It’s a smaller inn which made it easy to navigate to my room. I’m from South Florida so I was not a fan of the cold weather BUT the funniest thing happened. The notice on the back of the door said that the thermostat to the heater was on the wall. I turned it up as high as I could get it and nothing happened (so I thought). I jumped in bed fully clothed because it was freezing and I wanted to be warm. Well a couple of hours later I woke up soaked in sweat and proceeded to strip out of my clothing. I assumed nothing happened because I didn’t hear anything click on like I’m used to back home. Needless to say I learned my lesson pretty quick! There was an area for continental breakfast but I didn’t eat anything as it was too cold. Lol. I walked around the neighborhood, which was beautiful by the way. Checkout was less than 2 minutes and I met the most gorgeous dog😀 My daughter is relocating to the area so I will be back and this will be my hotel of choice!

Thank You very much for being our guest. We sincerely appreciate your business and your review. Most of our rooms have electric baseboard heaters that are pretty quiet and quick to operate. Sorry you had to find that out the hard way. We do our best to keep a selection of rooms preheated to about 60 degrees throughout the winter months allowing our guest to easily fine tune the temperature once they have checked in. Our Inn is located on a some what residential section of the I-75 business spur about 1/2 mile from downtown. There is a very nice neighborhood right behind us that makes for a great morning or evening walk. That gorgeous dog is our son's Black Lab, Tank. We think he's pretty special too. Thanks again for stopping in. We look forward to seeing you UP our way again soon!

We got a room for one night to attend a concert. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the water got hot very quickly to shower in the morning. The man at the desk when I checked in was very polite and helpful. When we were leaving in the morning we had gotten a light dusting of snow and he was kind enough to clean our car off while we were packing it up. All in all it was a great experience.

The staff was very polite. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was centrally located. The rooms all have screen doors so you can leave the door open and enjoy the breeze or let the natural light in. I would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the Upper Peninsula.

This motel is a perfect place to lay your head while in the Soo.. This Motel is supper clean, quiet rooms and great owners who live on site. They are very accommodating even allowing pets of all size (I've got an English Mastiff puppy that can be a little messy). Centrally located, less than a 5 min drive to town. Set on top of a hill that gives you a great view of downtown. The staff are amazing and alway ready to help.I really can't say enough about this place. A great way to be introduced to the Soo and its locals. I've ended up spending a few weeks here and everyone has made it feel like home. Highly recommend even if its for a night or extended stay!

Fantastic stay with Tony and Marsha. Wonderful hosts, clean rooms excellent service. Excellent location near downtown and the important stores. You get a real home feeling when you are there. If there is fresh snow out, then a path will be shoveled to your vehicle, and it will be brushed off!

We were on a 10 day road trip and our stay at this property was Day 7. We were blown away by how spacious this room was! It was very clean. The staff was friendly and check in was very quick. We really appreciated that so many plugins were available around the bed. So many properties, especially older ones, don't seem to accommodate people who use C-Pap machines or who like to charge their electronics. This Budget Host had all that covered! It's a great place to stay when you're just passing through and don't need a lot of frills!

We are delighted to hear you enjoyed being our guests . Our rooms with 2 queen beds are quite spacious. While our smaller single queen units have been described as "cozy"..all are painstakingly clean and meticulously maintained. Thanks for letting us be a part of your summer travels. Yes, we have been open all along. We are still operating our front desk through our "night window" which is about as "touch free" of a check-in as you can get. We have also discontinued offering complimentary breakfast and daily housekeeping service is now by request only. However, the coffee is always on, the WIFI is still free and your business is still very much appreciated.
Because the Crestview Inn has the most bang for your buck: Super clean rooms, great customer service, free WIFI, complementary breakfast and a great central location all at fair and reasonable prices.
Our motel is all on the ground floor, with just a slight step up into the rooms. Also, many of our rooms have large step-in showers that have worked for our guests with limited mobility. However, the short answer is NO we are not ADA handicap accessible. Sorry it took so long to answer your question. We will try and be more attentive to this Q & A feature in the future.
Yes! Even though Spring officially starts next week, there is plenty of the white stuff still on the ground and lots of ice in many of the bays.
The trails are improving daily. The temps will be in the teens to single digits this week and we are expecting 8-16 inches of powder over the next few days. Get those sleds ready to ride!
