It’s been many decades since I was in a Super 8.
I was surprised at the approximate $225CA / night plus tax. It was a Friday night. The room was ok though a bit small. There were almost no amenities like toothbrush, comb, etc. Maybe one has to ask for them at the desk?
My biggest issue was the poor breakfast. They did have some hard boiled eggs but most of the food was just not that nutritious. There was some instant oatmeal too.
In my opinion, for $225 the hotel could give much more value with amenities for the bathroom and a better selection of healthy breakfast foods. (Soy or almond milk, salad, whole wheat bread,

My family & I stay here at least 1-3 times a year. Hotel is always clean with friendly staff that are very attentive. We travel several times a year & this is by far our favorite motel. The fact they have a few businesses suites that allow kids to sleep on hide a bed while we chill in our connected room makes it an easy choice for us. Can’t wait to be back

Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was slightly better than most budget hotels (had scrambled eggs) and the indoor pool was very nice (and very popular!). I appreciated having a fridge in the room. Customer service was very good. There is a delicious Mexican restaurant next door and an Applebee's just down the street. A Walmart and Meijer are close by as well. However, it is located a couple of miles from downtown SSM on a very busy road in a commercial area. There is no safe area to go for a morning walk or run. You have to drive to get pretty much anywhere. After the first day I wished I had looked for something much closer to town and the residential areas. If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night, this is a good choice. If you want to experience Sault Ste Marie, there are better options.

We stayed here for one night for a hockey game. The room was so small that we could not fit a twin blow up mattress in the room, so we ended up having to book an additional room. There were no coffee pots in the rooms either.

They serve a full breakfast bar not just coffee and donuts. They have a pool too. I stayed in room 101 and I think all of the plumbing for the building exited here because there was a constant rushing water sound most of the night, not really loud but obvious. I found it very relaxing. Everything in the room worked and there was a fridge too. It is a little hard to find, it's just north of the traffic circle and the drive way to the motel is rutted gravel but the parking lot is all paved.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Room/suite was clean and provided great space for us. Overall decor is a bit dated, but cleanliness matters more and this was great. Breakfast was included and while not gourmet, certainly provided options and suited our needs. We did not use the pool during this stay. Location was great. Bed was very comfortable...would prefer firmer pillows, but slept fine. Would stay again if we return to the area and would recommend.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was loud. I was hearing doors and stomping all night. Air conditioner wasn't quite right. Had to get up a couple time to make it run. Housekeeping woke us up it was around 8-8:30ish am, but we're from Wisconsin so more like 7ish for us. That was a first and I really wasn't happy about that. All of the staff was wonderful, super nice. Even though she woke me up, I would have hugged the housekeeper. First hot hotel breakfast we've had since covid. We were happy about that. I would probably stay again.

It is a nice motel. We stayed two nights. Staff was friendly. Location was near restaurants. It was away from downtown, which it the big attraction in Sault Ste. Marie. Room was clean. motel has indoor pool. Continental breakfast was serviced until 10AM. It had sausage, eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We had some special requests and they were able to fulfill them all. The rooms were clean and quiet. The pool was clean, with warm water. The bag breakfast we received because of covid19, contained enough that we had some left for an afternoon snack.

There was no milk when we came down to breakfast at 7:30 am. So anyone who planned to have real milk in their coffee or cereal was out of luck. After paying $127 for our small room we could at least have had milk. We left and went to McDonald’s. At least they had an elevator.

Just a few miles. Go back to the highway and the bridge is only a short distance up the road.
They will not let you use the pool or go to the breakfast room if your pet is "left alone". They enter your room at will whether you have the DO NOT DISTURB claiming to "have heard your dog".
We actually didn't have a kitchenette in our room. There was a nice small area by the pool.They used it for the free breakfast but we used it for dinner, no pots and pans a microwave, tables, some paper plates and plastic ware and if I remember correctly some cups, sorry if it sounded like it was in my room. The beds were very comfortable they were double beds I think..big enough for two adults plenty of room. I was very happy with the staff and the pool was nice it was salt water which was way better than chlorine. Hope this helps have a Awesome Trip😃😃
