Looking at the photos of the outside, the hotel looks like a charming beautiful place. That is where the charm stops. The room was dark and then we saw ants all over the room. One of the lights was out in the bathroom and the room looked dirty and old. The said they "couldn't fix" the light that was out. We asked to change but there was no other room available. We were with a small group tour. Tour guide bought ant spray to spray our room and some other rooms. We asked for dirty rug to be taken out and there was an inch of dust underneath. Hotel staff not interested in helping and had excuses for everything. Wi-fi didn't work. Food was mediocre; service terrible. Website said they had room service but they didn't. I haven't done a review on Trip Advisor in some time but had to share this experience as it was truly one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. Website photos and write ups must have been done years ago.

We stayed three nights while traveling with a small group tour in Brittany with Best of France Travels. Our meals were included with our tour, so we could relax and enjoy Raphael restaurant and the beautiful setting. They have a couple of cats that roam the grounds, and we especially enjoyed watching The White Cat. (see photo)

Location of hotel is very beautiful but that’s it... we were with friends and our cottage as well as theirs was musty, dated, and un-inviting. The 3 wicker baskets placed under the sink in the bathroom if our cottage had a layer of black mold. There were cob webs in the bedroom. Even worse, I had bites on 2 areas on my back that I know were indicative of bed bugs. I contacted the hotel twice via email with photos but no reply. We were planning to stay 2 nights but left after one, we should have left after seeing the room and stay somewhere else... Stay away!!!

Dear Madame, Sir Very strange experience of our domain. we would have gladly changed rooms but it seems that it was not in your desires. All our regrets for not being able to convince you to continue the experiment.

Where do I start with this place. At a first look this place seems lovely and has nice beautiful views and then everything falls apart. We stayed for 4 nights which I would strongly advise against. 1 night max is enough. We had dinner the first night which was above expensive. I payed €7-€8 for 25cl of beer. We found out you can buy a 10 pack down the road for €4. We speak little French and both got upset at dinner as we could only order mains but received starters. I won't go into detail but it was rather upsetting considering the cost. I had both of my Nintendo ds's stolen from my room along with all my games. Over £300 worth of equipment and they wouldn't do anything but ask the other staff. No cctv. No log of who went in our room. No help. Nothing. Turns out this will be an expensive holiday.

My husband & I stayed at the Moulin for 11 nights in August. Although we dined almost every night at the Raphaël restaurant of the hotel, and we could have expected a little boredom to settle in, nothing of the sort happened. On the contrary, it was like going to a "rendez-vous" every single time ! With the carateristic tickling excitement one might feel : yes, such is the talent of Chef Laurent, his wife, his Brigade and all the restaurant & hotel staff. Half-boarding normally comes with a set menu, but given our long stay, Laurent offered to cook "specials" for us, delighting both our eyes and appetites. We were simply spoilt there! Will never forget the warmth of the welcome and the lovely soul-soothing feeling of the pool & spa which are both nested in the woods in charming spots. If you don't feel the celtic spirits, who prefer to haunt the place quietly... , you shall certainly connect with the authenticity of its hosts throughout this historical landmark.
