Very neat, rooms were spacious and clean. Friendly staff. The lady at the desk was so personable. Felt like I was talking to a friend. Very impressed. Would highly recommend. I didn't swim in the pool but it looked great for families. The location was also convenient to downtown Musining.
Very clean rooms, the place was booked up with snowmobilers. Truck & trailers filled the parking lot. Employees very nice and helpful. Seattle Coffee all day. Pool and hot tub was open. The bad was walls are thin and heard the guy in the next room to me snoring loudly all night.
First of all there's not many reasonable priced hotels in Munising. I thought for the money the hotel would have been more up to date. The room wasn't very clean as there was hair in the tub, carpet felt grimy and everything in the room and bathroom is very worn and needs updating. One of the young ladies that checked us in and was also there when we checked out wasn't very friendly, not only to us but other guests as well. Did not use the amenities so can't rate those. Breakfast consists of a brown paper bag with items you can take back to your room and warm up in the microwave. Would definitely look for another place if visiting again.
Very nice hotel, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, pool is warm, hot tub was nice. Pool is open until 2am which I nice for a soak in the hot tub before bed. Definitely would recommend and stay here again. Wish there had been a hot breakfast available but a microwave sandwich is better that a lot of hotels since covid.
Over priced. We had two rooms on the second floor. Thursday night was ok but Friday night we had to listen to people talk outside our window as they smoked and drank outside the pool area at 1am. Then groups of people walking and talking loudly up and down the hall until 3am. Rooms are dated and didn’t feel super clean. The guy helping with breakfast seemed miserable. Did not get a welcoming and comfortable vibe from this place. Not some place we’d stay again.
Last weekend my husband and I booked a room at this hotel, room #124. As soon as we walked in we were hit with the smell of a musty water damaged room. We tried airing it out on Saturday with no luck. There were no other rooms available at the hotel and everything else in town was sold out. On Sunday, when checking out. I walked up to the check out desk, the clerk approached me and just looked at me. I told her I was checking out and she asked me for my info. Never asked how my stay was. So I proceeded to tell her. "I would like to show you some pictures that I took of the mold in the room." "Im not sure the last time you were in the room, but if you would like to walk down there with me, I can personally show you." The clerk stated: "I dont go in the rooms" and you dont need to show my any pictures I believe you. " She then proceeded to tell me, This is what you need to do, walk yourself down to the cleaning people at then end of the hallway, as she pointed and go complain to the head housekeeper about what you saw. She then asked how I was going to pay, so I handed her my credit card and paid the $504 (for 2 nights in the worst room I have ever stayed in). I then decided to do her job for her and walk down to the house keeper who was in another persons dirty room to show her the pictures which in turn lead me to the head house keeper. This is unacceptable on every level, and one of the worse customer experiences I have had in a very long time. My husband and I were congested for 2 days afterwards. If anyone stays any longer than that, they will be sick. I will be contacting their Corporate office and also the Michigan State Health Department. DO NOT STAY HERE!…
Beds were ver comfy. Nice size fridge.. Coffee was really good in room. Clean hotel. Very small hot tub. Nice pool.. Grab and go bag breakfast due to covid was good. Front desk was helpful. Cute shop items in lobby. We paid for a rollout bed, it was very comfortable.
We visited on July 4th weekend so the rates may have been higher than usual or maybe they are always this high? Regardless, this hotel lacks many things such as no elevator. This makes it very hard to use the luggage carts when you are on the 2nd floor. Inside, the room was good size but very many bare spots where furniture is suppose to be such as an additional dresser and a sitting chair. It did have a small frig., microwave, and dresser. However, the room and the hotel was clean, just not a place I would stay again.
Angela was very helpful and provided special accommodations for our family. She was pleasant and went out of her way to help us. The room and bathroom were clean. Pool area was clean too. Hotel was quiet but I think we hit Munising at a slow week prior to summer season start.
We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean, safe, good location, and friendly customer service. Another pro for me was good water pressure. We had the breakfast bags a few days and appreciated it. Also microwave and fridge in room to hold your own things. Across from a dollar general if you forget or need anything. Would stay again if in the area.
