The food was very good, the lodging basic but clean and comfortable. The setting is beautiful with access to the snowmobile/ATV trails on site. Family owned with the family directly involved in all phases of the business. Enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to returning in the future.

Great place..we enjoyed the trails around the resort and the white fish dinner. They even had homemade pickled beets. Glad a got to see it with all the color. The only negative is the blue lights from the internet or tv at night. Hope to come back!

Overpriced for the value (120 per night incl all fees/taxes), older and basic but clean accommodations, decent restaurant onsite with fresh local White fish (don't expect salads on the menu, if you like them bring with you), beautiful view of sunsets on Covey lake, located in secluded forested area but close to Munising (boat rides and more restaurants). We had a mean waitress (dinner shift on Sept 13, 2020), older lady with dark hair, she was condescending and borderline rude and kinda made fun of our accents when we were ordering. At first we thought she was just having a bad day, until we heard her speaking with another family at the next table and how friendly and relaxed she was with them. We left her $0 tip, because that was what she deserved. I got the impression that most locals don't like foreigners or non-whites, but she was the only one showing open contempt.

Well, almost, we did have to step outside first! However, when 25-30 of your best snowmobiling friends are looking for a place to stay...right on the snowmobile trail, then, Buckhorn Resort is for you. Clean and well kept motel rooms, restaurant and bar right on site, and very important...90 octane Recreational Fuel right on site, too. And, the parking lot is large enough to handle all your trailers. My snowmobile club thoroughly enjoyed our first ride of the Snowmobile season, right from the Buckhorn Resort!

We enjoyed our stay here, but it was during a hot spell so the rooms were a bit uncomforable. They were clean and met our needs albeit a little small. The main bar and restaurant was fine with nice food and beer and the staff were very friendly.
