#1 of 11 hotels in Munising
Travellers' Choice
Roam Inn is a thoughtful renovation of a turn-of-the-century Lumber Baron's mansion, positioned on a hillside overlooking Lake Superior. Our team is lead by the adventurous "roam" brand. Local area knowledge of anything epic outdoors- is a brand specialty. Our hospitality background stems from decades of experience in the luxury tier; with the owners founding and operating Deployed Technologies- working on luxury hotels around the world. Roam Inn also features "Tracey's" - a very relaxed, fine dining restaurant within the older "mansion" (now lobby) space of the hotel. We are a true "stay and play" hotel- and our team is always ready to help answer any questions you may have about the area.

The rooms and restaurant are both the best in the area, which is very convenient. It's obvious that the owner recently invested heavily to update the building, rooms, and amenities. It's in Munising... so, no, you can't compare it to the Langham or Ritz Carlton in a big city or resort destination. But definitely the best place we've stayed in the Northwoods.

My husband and I took a trip from Marquette to Munising to celebrate my 35th birthday, we XC skied at Valley Spur, stayed in the big balcony king suite, relaxed in the room drinking some red wine, and had a lovely japanese style dinner at Tracey's restaurant downstairs. We had the dumplings, spicy lobster sushi roll, Roamin' ramen noodles, and chocolate cake. Our server Eva was amazing, the host Dustin was great, and chef Ali even said hello! Will be back for sure! xoxo Lou & Jenna Smith

Simply Marvelous ! Stopped in on the advice of another business in Munising and couldn't believe how exceptional the experience was. I will always stay here from now on. For the first time ever in the U P I looked forward to the next part of our dinner to come out ! They had the correct (better) Whiskeys that I prefer which was a bonus ! Great Staff, Great Food, Great Service, Great Room. I will schedule regular returns here.

Look no farther than The Roam Inn when looking for the perfect place in Munising. Everything was INCREDIBLE, from the food to the rooms, and not to mention the outstanding staff that is willing to accommodate your needs and knows every corner of the town to help with reservations to recommendations. Our experience would not have been the same had we stayed anywhere else. Thank you Roam Inn!

We were pleasantly surprised at the comfort and spacious rooms at Roam Inn. Although normally too high prices during peak season months, off season pricing was very affordable. Parking can be a challenge as you cannot park close to your rooms in about 2/3s of the room. They at least have handicap accessible ramps for those who need them. Discounts were offered for the in house restaurant but it is very expensive and may not be able to address all ways of eating such as vegan and vegetarian. Amenities in rooms were top notch. Beds were comfortable and they shower was awesome.
