Beautiful grounds with secluded and very comfortable, squeaky clean chalets. Loved the the outdoor back sitting area. The lodge itself was welcoming with a fire place lit at night. Attentive and kind staff provided exceptional customer service for me when a situation arose.
It’s a really nice lodge . Lovely food . Lovely people . Beautiful rooms , comfortable beds . The only problem that I had was there was no HOT WATER at all .. i stayed for 2 nights and no hot water at all . Its winter and the weather is cold now . About 5 c in the morning and after a long all day game drive at the park , one would want to clean up and get a hot shower. Reported it the first day , but they did nothing .
The Lodge itself is excellent. Service is also excellent. There are only 3 campsites with all amenities, but keep in mind that it is very small, number 3 is the largest. The campsite definitely needs some upgrading. The bathrooms are no longer as neat and tidy and we also did not have hot water.
Our tour group arrived late afternoon for a three night stay at the lodge. We were welcomed with friendly smiles from very helpful staff. We asked for rooms closer to each other as some of the couples shared a vehicle. This was done immediately. During book in there were staff members assisting with all our luggage. The rooms are top class and excellent value for money. Well furnished and beautifully decorated. We did not have any issues and loved our time here. The staff make the lodge a special place. Smiles at breakfast and dinner service. Nothing is too much trouble. When the manager noted that we were not to keen on Game meat, he arranged beef steaks to be done for us. The staff made us feel like part of the family there and it felt as if we were old friends. On the day of our departure Sybie gave us a bottle of Witblits/Mampoer to drink a toast on Spreetshoogte Pass. Small things that make a huge impression. On top of that he has a wealth of knowledge about Etosha and we followed his tips with good results in sightings. We miss staff like Eben, Cosmos Boomslaper, Hilda and Amandla already. Truly an amazing place with amazing staff. They even offered me a brand new toothbrush when they thought that I had lost mine:) Only regret is not being able to give more that 5 stars. We loved Toshari. What a gem. Dankie, julle is 'n spesiale klomp mense.…
Very good stay, very good service, very good accommodation, very good food choices of wild meat dishes and environment, easy access and close to Etosha Pan. The surrounding and the walks were good and the pools and eating area.
We appreciated the friendly service and confort of the rooms and entire lodge area. The food was also very good. For the afternoon tea/ coffee, you could offer/ sell eg. cake - we came to the lodge very tired and hungry and the dinner was later, so a piece of cake would be perfect to survive till dinner:-)
We booked a 1 night at Toshari Lodge after heavy rains in Etosha and wanted a change from NWR camps . The welcome was great and we were allowed to check in early. The grounds beautifully manicured and we spent the afternoon by one of the pools. Dinner was a buffet which was good value and to a good standard with plenty of choices with main courses cooked freshly in front of us. Breakfast again was good. Overall a great value lodge on outskirts of Etosha National Park.
Very nice lodge. The room and is very comfortable. They have a small pool on premises. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious. Our room was very far from reception...which I did not like. Ask for a room closer. You will appreciate at night when you have to walk back.
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The photos don't do it justice. Rooms were private and so comfortable we didn't want to leave, but the lounge and bar were also lovely. We initially picked this hotel to save money vs staying in Etosha, and having done both, I would stay here instead every time. Try one of the signature cocktails; they do not disappoint!
We have stayed at Toshari Lodge several times, alone as a couple and also with friends. We're always happy to come back there. We feel very comfortable there. We like the environment, the service and the delicious dinner. And the circular route around the camp is very well suited as a running route before breakfast.
