We were very impressed with everything at this hotel! Our suite was very nice, clean, and had a comfortable bed and linens. Hallways and common areas were nicely decorated and equally maintained. There was a nice breakfast buffet with many items from which to choose. We really enjoyed the evening receptions as there was a complimentary light meal served along wine, beer, and soda. This reception was a real plus for us, as not many hotels offer this. We appreciated the friendly staff and the underground parking. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when visiting Marquette.
Very friendly, helpful front desk staff. Staybridge extras such as complimentary happy hour and meal were well executed (brats and beer!). Room comfortable, clean and modern. Good location for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Marquette. Shared a suite with friends we were traveling with and we all had plenty of room in the 2-bedroom suite. COVID protocols evident, which is not the case everywhere in the UP.
Just returned home from a wonderful stay at the Staybridge Marquette. Everything was perfect! Hotel is exceptionally clean and ensures everyone feels safe with their safety protocols. Hand sanitizer is accessible in all public areas. All dishes/glasses/silverware were sanitized on high temp wash and in dishwasher showing completed for you to put away. All pots & pans etc were sealed in plastic bags for you to open. Room was very clean and accommodating. Beds were super comfy and the pillows were heavenly! LOVE that Staybridge is pet friendly and we were able to bring our furry family members with us. Breakfast was very good! Fresh cooked eggs, sausage, bagels, cereal, waffles and even a Chobani yogurt bar were just a few of the things available. Something for everyone including me who has a gluten allergy. Social time and dinner was available Monday-Wednesday which was a nice touch too. Love that there is free laundry on site too. Nothing better then returning home with everything clean. I can’t rave enough about the staff. Everyone was always smiling, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you were enjoying your stay. In today’s world this is a rarity, and everyone here was genuine. This did not go unnoticed. Special shout out to Kate, Grant, Gabby & Winter! Thank you for everything each one of did to make our stay one to remember and help us extend an extra day. We had such a great time we already rebooked for next year! Book your stay today, you won’t regret it!!…
This is the second time we have stayed here and we were still very pleased. Room was clean, bed was comfy with nice linens. Our daughter used the pullout bed and we were given the linens for that in a bag. A covid precaution which we appreciated. Shampoo, conditioner and shower soap were in dispensers in the shower. The breakfast buffet had not yet started but we were able to order breakfast from what was featured for the day. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. This has become my favorite hotel in the area.
This was a great hotel for our short stay in the area. Everything is very new, modern, and well-maintained. Staff were all very friendly and parking was plentiful and hassle-free. Overall a great place to stay and would visit again.
We loved the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with kitchen. It was very spacious, which our family appreciated. I liked how dishes were bagged in the cupboards. However, we didn’t care for the mildew around the sink, dirty/stained shower curtain, dirty shower rod, stained furniture, and “rough” patch job in one of the bathrooms. The breakfast was okay. Some items were great, others were cold or burned from the staff microwaving for too long. At almost $400 a night, we were hoping for better.
New hotel (opened 2016) and very well maintained, modern and clean! Friendly staff (kudos to Kate and Lance, who were very helpful to locate my 'lost' laundry!). We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with dogs and everything was suitably convenient for us.
Just terrible internet speed. 0.5Mbps download speed. If you're looking for a place to work while away this is not it. I asked the front desk if there was anything that could be done. They referred me to an IHG 800 number that called up an oversees help desk which could only reset the room's router. This did nothing. And there was nothing left to be done. The room was fine and clean. Staff are pleasant and as helpful as they can be. We specifically mentioned the need to be able to work here when booking though and working on such an awful internet connection is impossible
I booked with booking.com it said the room had a balcony but it didn’t and I paid more to get this room. Manger adjusted price a little. They only have balcony on 1st floor which were queen suites. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable and sheets were very nice. I loved having a kitchen with dishes. I would go back.
The location is great to spend time in the downtown area or to drive to an area to hike. You can easily walk downtown or it is about a five minute drive. The hotel was very clean and worked perfect for our two night stay. May was a great time to visit Marquette.
