A wonderful place to stay in Marquette and the location is perfect. Ken and Sue are the best hosts. The Inn is immaculate and comfortable. We only were able to stay one night but we would love to return for a longer visit.

This was only my second experience at a B&B. The place is simply decorated in a countryish motif. We had the suite which has a large living room area with table and chairs, sofa, chairs and a nice sized king sized bedroom. The bathroom was large with 2 sinks. Everything you want from a hotel room to make for a comfortable if not luxurious stay. Good lighting, places for toiletries, places to read, to eat, a full length mirror. The place has a lovely sauna area and lots of seating area in common rooms and outside. Lake Superior is located across the way with benches. It is 1.5 miles to walk into town along Lake on a lovely path. Breakfasts are tasty but simple, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and fruit one day and pancakes, sausage, fruit and yogurt another day. It would be nice to have some blackout curtains in bedroom to keep out morning light. We enjoyed our stay.

Ken and Sue are the most friendly hosts in this immaculate Bed And Breakfast. Their inn is clean and comfortable and their Scandinavian breakfasts are an added treat! They have thought of many nice items that make one’s stay more comfortable: bottled water in the little frig at end of hall, a bike rack in a secure garage for biking guests, a ready umbrella near the entry, board games, a quiet basement room with good internet access for that business Zoom call and the list goes on! We hadn’t been to Marquette in about 10 years and it is becoming quite the resort area with good restaurants and bars and plenty of beautiful areas to hike, bike, and drive. Sunset at Presque isle Park is something to take in - and it’s just down the road!! We hope our next trip will be in the winter for snowshoeing!

The Nestledown offers a perfect stay in Marquette. I highly recommend it! It is ideally located on Lake Superior across from Picnic Rocks park and close to shops and restaurants, and Ken and Sue are very warm and welcoming hosts who make a delicious breakfast! They were extremely thoughtful in their construction of the building -- the rooms are virtually sound proof -- and the place is tastefully decorated with some great art and Scandinavian style. We enjoyed talking with our innkeepers at length and the other lodgers over breakfast. We will definitely be repeat guests! Nestledown is our new favorite lodging in Marquette.

This was our second stay at Nestledown. We love the delicious breakfast, the friendly and accommodating hosts, and the comfortable rooms. The inn is spotlessly clean. We enjoyed staying at the Cottage and having the use of the well stocked kitchen. We will be back!
