We stayed for three nights. The room was very clean and practical. The bed was very comfortable and I really liked the pillows. Hotel is very close to 41 and so noisy when staying on that side of the building. Breakfast was basic but a nice service.
This is one of the nicest low budget motels that I have stayed in! Norah checked us in and she was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and well appointed with very nice linens and towels. The rooms were very quiet. There was little or no noise from other rooms. We were able to open our window for fresh air but the heating/cooling system was quiet. We recommend staying on the side away from the highway. We stayed on the main level because we had a dog. We definitely would stay here again.
The exterior is well kept, but it is very plain/basic and the design of the building shows its age in terms of design. I believe this Quality Inn was recently converted and used to be called the Settle Inn. It seems when it became Quality Inn that it was remodeled. The lobby is clean and modern. The breakfast room and eating spaces are also clean and look pretty new. Speaking of breakfast they had waffles, (powdered) eggs, sausage patties, biscuits, and gravy every day. They also had toast, English muffins, cereal, and yogurts too. The waffles were good, the eggs not so much. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a little issue with our motorcycle trailer and a maintenance guy came right out and offered a hand and we were all set in no time. He was very friendly and happy to help and wouldn't accept anything for his trouble. You don't find customer service like this to ofter these days! The room was clean, of current design, and fairly spacious. While there a little noise from the hallway, overall the room was quiet. The only downside was the room was a bit humid and the A/C was adequate at best. The bed linens were clean, as were the towels, the bathroom was cleaned, and didn't show any mold around the tub caulk seams. The carpets were clean and free from stains. The pillows seemed to be feather which is a plus, but the mattress wasn't great. If you sat on the edge of the bed it would fully compress down to the base and Im maybe 200lbs. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would stay again. The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to the A/C, mattress and the price (it was about 2x the normal price of a Quality Inn), but it was peak season. If you stay here I am confident you will be happy.…
Horrible stay at the Quality Inn. First, they overbooked and people were not able to get their rooms. They called us to confirm we were coming so we were fortunate to actually get a room. Upon entering the room there was a terrible moldy smell. We asked to change rooms but none were available. The source of the idea was the bathroom so it must have flooded or something to cause the mold and the odor. After two days the finally switched our room and closed it for maintenance to tear it apart. Also, they did not clean the rooms, change out towels….nothing. I am not sure why they do not provide any type of service. Finally hot tub was cold and food was horrible. Not a single positive thing I can say about this place.
We had two dogs with us so our options were limited. This hotel is very nice. Clean, updated, decent breakfast, friendly staff, good AC, not far from downtown Marquette. There is also a large grassy area to walk the dogs or just relax. Beds were good too. Highly recommended.
