We decided to try this hotel and so glad we did! We were attracted by the location close to the Superior Dome. The facility was very clean, had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The all day coffee bar was nice; the Huron Mountain Bakery pastries an added bonus. But I think the thing I liked the most was the smaller size. Coming and going from our room was quick and easy because all parking is close to the entrance and all rooms are steps away from the elevator. If I had to run back to the room for a forgotten item, it was a quick trip. The staff we encountered were very nice as well. Try this place, I predict you will be glad you did!
Great find! The owner was a nice young man who was super helpful. The lobby was immaculate and the parking lot was steps away from the room. Great Location to town, Northern Mi University and anything in the area. Big TV and nice size rooms. This review is from someone who has spends 100+ nights at a Marriott. I am very impressed.
I was pleasantly surprised by this new boutique hotel in Marquette. The rooms are modern and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom, shower, and amenities are great. The rooms have large flat screen TVs with a solid selections of cable channels. The parking lot is well lit and safe. The breakfast was very very good with a large selection of cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, fresh bakery, juices, etc. The hotel is located on the west end of 3rd street which is lined with shops and restaurants. Finally, the staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend the Superior Stay Hotel in Maquette.
We were extremely pleased with our recent stay. Such a reasonable rate for the quality of room and service we experienced. Slight problem with our king bed was handled right away. While the nice man fixed it, he advised us on some sites and hiking trails. Nice washer and dryer on 2nd floor, free to use, which was great after kayaking. Nice continental breakfast, good choices. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. 3rd street location was great. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Superior Stay is a recently remodeled boutique hotel with evidence of ongoing renovations (new microwave ovens being unpacked). Room 305 was clean with hard surface floors, mini fridge, microwave oven, and ample lighting. The door for this particular room was slightly askew and required extra effort to open/close, but otherwise functioned normally. Lock mechanism is the more user friendly tap to open versus the older versions requiring card insertion (and often have issues). Lobby was clean with 24 hour coffee/tea and some granola bars. Grab and go breakfast had fresh fruit, yogurt, packaged juices, urn coffee, individually wrapped pastries/muffins from local Huron Bakery. There were also assorted granola and breakfast bars. The only "issue" was the elevator which at times required a second or third push of the hallway button. Interior floor buttons functioned normally, but the door remains open for a painfully long time. Pushing the "close door" button does not speed things up. This property is easy walking distance to several restaurants and watering holes, as one can see on any map app. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.…
