As yearly revisiting guest for the past 7 years, we had many superb and memorable moments at Erindi. Unbelievable moments on the game drives, during the hours spent on the beautiful deck at the restaurant. Staff like Ulli, Carl, Waiters and even housekeepers are very friendly and helpful. However, as a self drive, and private, FULL-paying guest, we had requested (5 months prior arrival) specific rooms. These were unfortunately not allocated, however we were booked close to desired accommodation and accepted it. At the arrival, we were placed in the courtyard rooms, with the explanation " all the other rooms are booked" Nonetheless we did not accept these circumstances, as the lodge was not merely booked half of its capability. Suddenly, after further discussions, we were then placed in the room which we initially asked for, only to find it to be used as a storage for the pool mattresses. Understanding the circumstances the lodge is currently in a renovation phase, we do not accept to be manipulated and miss treated. Surely this situation could have been handled more effectively. Management personally only showed up on the second day, after we were told we hat to pay our Game drives up front. Mind you, the wine bottle we had the evening before had more value than one game drive....that was booked on the room. I then had to request to speak to a representative. Unfortunately we were confrontated with similar situations in the year 2022, were we chose to refrain from a negative post on any platforms. Despite what Erindi has to offer, we will surely make use of other accommodation, for example Otjiwa, Okonjima or even Omaruru Game Lodge in the future.…

10/10! Absolutely amazing experience! The staff are super friendly and wonderful souls. The rooms are awesome especially with the watering hole views! The food has been delicious every single plate we ate. My girlfriend and i had the best time especially the rainy game drive on her birthday. You really go out of your way to make someone feel so special and my girlfriend absolutely loved it. Her birthday was amazing thanks to all of you at Erindi. Seeing the lions for her first time ever on her birthday truly made this trip so special. As a tour guide myself i will always recommend Erindi to my clients and i will always have my holidays here if circumstances would allow. Thank you Erindi. 🍻🤙

First of all I wish to point out that I cannot understand the negative reviews of other guests at all. This was the third time we stayed at Erindi and the rooms, service and food have always been of an utterly high standard. Staff are lovely and because this time we were two couples on honeymoon, we were gifted bottles of champagne, put on ice in our rooms plus gorgeous decorations on the bed. We were very touched and another big thank you to Aleta for the lovely decorations (I hope I got the name right!). The last visits to Erindi, however, always happened in March, so after the rain and this was the first time at this time of year. We were, as said, two couples and overjoyed to receive rooms 41 and 42 with a direct view of the waterhole, only to find out that there was very little water in it and therefore very few animals. This was a little disappointing, but obviously nobody's fault, simply due to the dryness before the rains. Also we learnt that the lodge was sold and is being renovated, so building works were taking place and the "old" pool was not useable. Also, a lot of work (destruction) was happening outside the lodge, which took away from the usual wonderful experience of driving towards the lodge. We were told this was due to new plans of the new owners. We sincerely hope that they won't increase the size of the lodge that much, because I personally always felt it was just short of being too large and has just managed to keep that feel of "special", which I normally only find in smaller lodges or camps. So hopefully they will keep the vibe and service level. Also, on a more personal level, I adore the fact that there is always some pudding with custard for the evening meal. Game Drives are second to none, special thanks to Brian for making our two drives informative and successful. …

Despite the fact that the rooms were a bit old fashioned and impersonal and the food is not particularly good, our stay at Erindi was the highlight of our wonderful Namibia trip! The terrace of our room looked out on 2 water holes. The first day I couldn't believe my eyes! There were 15 elephant nearly on our doorstep! The water holes are lit up at night... you could sit on the terrace all day and all night! The game drives were amazing with very knowledgeable rangers.

The lodge is large and spread out around two waterholes. The rooms are very spacious and very well equipped with a nice patio overlooking the waterhole. Game viewing at the lodge is exceptional and almost better than on the game drive. The buffet style meals were very good. Safe parking available, but can be far from the room. Quite a long drive through the game reserve to get to the lodge.

We stayed at Erindi, celebrating our 30th wedding-anniversary. Erindi exceeded all our expectations. When we arrived Ben was there to assist with all the luggage. We were on a 3 week tour of the north which explained the luggage overload. The room was everything and more as advertised on their website. We stayed in a superior room overlooking the river. We sat on our porch and watched hippos right in front of us. No binoculars needed. Thanks to Bianca’s professional service at the restaurant. The food at dinner and breakfast was outstanding. The service from Erindi’s well trained and friendly staff is something we really enjoyed. The restaurant is situated perfectly overlooking a huge waterhole. Whilst having a great dinner we saw Giraffe , Oryx , Lion , Leopard , Hippo , Elephants , Rhinos , Blouwildebeest etc. Just an unbelievable experience! Having had the privilege of staying at various 5 star resorts throughout South Africa and Namibia , we can state without fear of retribution that this is the best value for money that you can get . We will definitely be back to visit Erindi , this time staying for 3 nights at least. …

We stayed for 3 nights in a luxurious suite looking over small waterhole. We also had our two kids with us (3 and 1 years old). The room is comfortable, bathroom is spacious, sufficient cupboard space to unpack clothes for a few days (and family of 4). Spacious patio with comfortable chairs to sit and watch game at the waterhole all day and all night! You can also view game from the bed if you feel a bit lazy… Buffet meals are not too elaborate - just sufficient to have something for everyone but the food is very well prepared with a focus on local dishes (lamb stew, oryx, springbok, etc). Game drives in the kiddies vehicle was amazing and felt very safe when we were up close and personal with lions and leopards especially. We saw everything we wanted and the guides are very knowledgeable and professional. I think filter coffee options in the bedroom would be better than the instant coffee provided currently. Other than that it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in the bush (especially also accommodating children) and we’ve been to them all…! We will be back very soon and hope to be able to experience your self-catering options too in the near future!! …

We loved our 3 night stay at the Old Traders Lodge. The game drives were amazing!! I was born in Kenya and grew up near it's beautiful national parks, but, this experience was unique because of our outstanding guide, GP. His knowledge of the bush is mind blowing and he did his best to share with us as much of that knowledge as possible. There were four of us in the Landrover with him and he went out of his way to make each one of us happy by showing us the game that we each most wanted to see. We saw so much! Those hours we shared with him have left us with unforgettable, precious memories of Namibia's bush. Our room faced the back waterholes and was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. We were really lucky to see wild dogs near the waterhole and an elephant having a drink twice. On our next visit though...and there will definitely be a next time if it is up to us, we will go for the superior room, overlooking the large waterhole with the hippos, in the front. Having been entertained for hours by the various game , including elephants that approached the water's edge, while we sat and watched from the open area infront of the dining room, we definitely think it is worth having this same view from our room. The one thing that definitely needs improving or I should say fixing from scratch is the food offered to vegetarians. I had very little to eat . After our first meal, I complained to the waitress and asked for something vegetarian to be served at dinner. She assured me that there would definitely be something. Well, there wasn't and I had to wait for them to prepare a pasta dish which was anyway totally inedible. Considering the price one pays, this should never happen! Having said that, the game experience was SOOoooo wonderful that nothing would keep us away from returning to Old Traders Lodge, hopefully, in the very near future....ofcourse, on condition that Gp is our guide again!!!!…

Extremely nice game drive. The guide was telling plenty of interesting facts for the animals. He wend beyond himself to show us as much as possible more animals. The tour ended with a beautiful view and nice drinks. The bungalow was luxurious with a view towards the bushes in the evening we saw an elephants and a rhino fighting . It was quite an experience! I loved this place! But the food in the restaurant wasn’t enough for all the guests. All the time something finished and the staff if we were lucky stock it back in about 15-20 min. For the price we paid it is not worthy.

Old Traders reopened in May and we were privileged to spend two days there this week. An absolute delight in all respects. The grounds are well-kept, the rooms luxurious, the food absolutely top class. The game drives are professional and the rangers go out of their way ( also literally) to ensure an awesome game viewing experience. Friendly and professional staff. This us not a budget destination, but worth saving for. The ultimate Namibia experience.
