We decided to stay here because we were attending the Red Sox Winter Weekend at the Mass Mutual Center. The rate was fair and had everything we needed for the two nights. All staff were friendly.

Pro: fair rate, friendly, soft and comfy beds, quiet location, had breakfast items, close to some shopping areas, had a pool and hottub, only 10 minutes from the mass mutual center.

Cons: definitely in need of updates around the whole building, pool was COLD, hot breakfast items did not taste all that great, coffee was very week, they only had half and half (no flavored creamer), and found a few dirty areas (ice machine had what appeared to be black mold, bathroom had chipping areas, lots of door ways and corners had scuff marks and were chipped) around the hotel.

Breakfast items consisted of: eggs one day, omelettes the next, sausage patties, make your waffles (one day they were good and the next they were very bitter), bagels, breads, English muffins, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juices, 3 cereal types, danishes, mini donuts, muffins or sweet bread.

Overall it was decent and we weren’t there that much but I would not stay here for more than a night or 2.

This hotel was fine but not great. No breakfast, sort of squishy beds, and, in our room, scalding hot water. It was clean but not sparkling. It's very quiet. The second floor of the wing we were on smelled strongly of smoke but our room did not. It was fine for eight hours of sleep but I wouldn't want to stay longer than one night.

4 towel sets, good. 120v outlets OK. Lighting good
Breakfast the usual
Refrigerator larger than most
Room clean
Reason for a 3 and not a 4 is the elevator stopped working. Stuff happens. however, the only 2 sets of stairs were at each end of the building with none near the front. So we had to carry our luggage a long ways to the stairs then back to the front.
Security lock on the room handle did not work. The other security latch to secure the door did.

We started our stay at this Comfort Inn greeted by a clerk with NO mask on in the lobby which reeked of someone smoking POT and we were informed that there was no pool, fitness room or breakfast offered. I just think that should be in large print on the website before you book. I don't need to sit in a dining area but it is nice to be able to go get coffee and a muffin or pastry. We requested a Non-smoking room however it was NOT in a non smoking corridor, again it reeked of smoke that found its way into our room. There were construction workers and other guest who were in the facility with out mask also. We were so disappointed in this hotel. Never again.

First of all, this hotel is in a scary area. I didn't feel safe and it seemed like the security was lax. I was on the second floor and had to enter through the back of the building. I noticed that someone had spilled some pink powder (i think it was candy at the bottom and at the top of the stairs. It was there when I checked in a 3:30 pm and still there when I settled in for the night at around 9:30 and then STILL there at 7:20 AM. I used the toilet when I got in and it backed up. I told the front desk to come up with a plunger. That is EXACTLY what he did. He brought up a plunger and handed it to me. The room was actually fine and clean and the bed was comfortable, but you could hear every door shut during the course of the night. It is definitely not worth the money they are charging.

I’ll start by saying the personnel were all wonderful. But the hotel needs a lot of work—it is one of the most rundown hotels I’ve encountered. We had to change rooms b/c of a strong chemical odor. Unfortunately, the new room was in the same hallway with the burnt out lights & the worn carpet. Both rooms had mold in the showers. Upholstery in the room & the breakfast area was stained. Walls were scuffed up. Certainly not worth what we paid for the room.

Hotel staff are great! Super friendly and attentive!
Location very good. Nearby many restaurants and shopping centers.
Very well run property. Clean rooms with amazing service, no need to make special request for room service.
Nice indoor pool with hot tub.
Breakfast was good, hot and cold fares offered.
I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back.
Thank you Comfort Staff, you were all amazing!

For the last 4 years, we have stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Springfield Mass while on business, and unfortunately during that time we have seen this property slide rather dramatically due to lack of maintanence.
It's a shame, really, because it used to be a treat to stay here, as the suites are large, with a seperate king bedroom, full kitchen and big jacuzzi tub for around $100 a night, a fabulous bargain for Springfield where all hotels are overpriced. But alas, over the past 4 years the wallpaper has begun to peel, the appliances have become worn out, and the maid service has grown lax; our room had "stuff" accumilating against the corners of the room, and when we went after our parakeet which ran under the bed, YIKES! we found a minor landfill situation!
However, unless we can find a better deal, we'll stay with Comfort Inn again next year, as the only other comperable extended stay situation seems to be the Residence Inn @$179 a night, or the BelAire Inn (American owned!), a property with all the charms of a trailer park.

They were doing construction /remodeling, sheetrock dust in the hallway no big deal. We entered the room and pulled back the covers and noticed a hair near the pillow. Pulled the cover down further and noticed a blood looking spec and 3 small winged bugs in the sheets. The bathroom had a ball of hair on the floor and hair on the edge of the tub. There was toothpaste smeared on the vanity near the sink.. We did not stay and felt dirty when we left. It had a 7 out of 10 rating and 2 1/2 stars. I told the hotel clerk the cleaning lady should be fired !!!!! Avoid this hotel.

We stopped at this hotel on our way back home from a trip to Maine. We would've driven the entire 12 hour trip at once, but we promised our kids a night in a hotel with a swimming pool. We used a coupon found in a travel magazine. (That should've been a clue). Upon check in, the man at the front desk wasn't very friendly. When we got to our room, which had two queen beds, it was very small. It was only big enough to fit the beds and not enough room to comfortably walk around or put suitcases. We arrived at 5:45 and wanted to swim before dinner. My husband went down to check out the pool and it was crowded, so we waited. We ordered a pizza and then went back down at 7. We were all dressed in our suits ready to swim. The pool is extremely small in the first place. There was a group of about 20+ people in the pool playing Marco polo, splashing and hollering. There literally was no room in the pool for us to swim. They stared at us like we were interrupting their fun. We had to tell our kids we couldn't swim, and my two year old began to cry. The worst part was that we were fairly confident that this crowd wasn't even guests of the hotel. Our suspicions were confirmed when my husband saw them getting out of the pool later on that evening and getting in their cars and driving away. What a waste of our money when we could've kept driving home. We ended up sleeping for a few hours and leaving for home at 3:45 AM. We just wanted out of this miserable place. The front desk worker didn't ask how our stay was or anything. I tried submitting a review on the hotel's website but my receipt doesn't have a confirmation code in it, which is needed to write a review.

As disappointing as it is to receive a review like yours, I was so glad that I was able to communicate with you directly recently and address your concerns. We take great pride in our facility and guest service. Our pool is a great amenity that is available for our hotel guests only. When we have larger groups of families staying in the hotel as we did during your recent stay, our team will actively focus on ensuring every guest has the opportunity to enjoy our amenities and receive our great guest service. is there a shuttle service to the Big E? thx
Answer from Comfort_Inn_Suites
West Springfield, MA
Unfortunately, there is not a shuttle to the Big E. One-Day tickets are available at the Hotel Front Desk so you may avoid lines at the Big E Ticket counters.
Answer from Comfort_Inn_Suites
West Springfield, MA
There is not a shuttle to the Big E any longer. There used to be a private company that ran a shuttle but they discontinued that 2 years ago. The Comfort Inn & Suites does not have a bar or restaurant on property. Mark Henshaw, General Manager
