Hotel's Favourite
The front desk staff made us feel welcome, offered to help, answer any questions and made check-in very easy and post haste. Had a chance to talk with several other staff members who were all personable and asked if we were enjoying our stay. They added if there is anything they can do to make our stay more enjoyable just ask. Definitely a superb example of top-notch customer service and satisfaction. It's the same experience we've had staying at different Hampton Inns over many years within the United States.

The hotel seems dated, but our room was very clean, the staff were absolutely great and we were beyond thrilled they served an actual breakfast (not COVID style) grab your own pre-wrapped muffin. They have scrambled eggs, cereals, bacon or sausage, hot oatmeal with the fixings and danish, bagels, etc. The bed was great, but the pillows are the super soft squishy kind. Nearby there are plenty of places to grab a bite including a nearby Starbucks for those who weren't raised on New England Dunkin" :0). It is a pet friendly hotel, so if you have allergies you may want to take your allergy meds just in case. All in all a great place to stay!

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy staying at different hotels within Hilton's portfolio when I visit different cities. Having stayed before at properties on downtown Springfield, I decided to give this West Springfield location a try, with a splurge for Uber between the train station and this hotel.
As I always do, I did the pre-Check-in and room selection the day before arrival. I was pleased to get a room facing away from US 5, instead looking out on a side street.
Upon arrival, I went right to my chosen room, where the Digital Key worked fine for access. I did visit the front desk later to claim my spring water and snacks.
Having stayed in many standard rooms in the various Hilton chains including other Hampton Inns, this was a disappointment. It was almost as one might expect in New York City, with barely any room to move around. There wasn't even room for a desk where one normally would be; instead one was provided to the side of the bed, leaving very little room to sit back in the chair. And with the location of the TV I could not comfortably watch while sitting at the desk because it was behind me.
The bathroom also was too small for my needs. Not enough room to store my toiletries on the tiny counter.
Overall, one gets the impression that this place is very old, and sorely needs a rehabilitation from the ground up. While there may end up being fewer rooms, more space should be allocated to each one.
The mattress was noisy causing my sleep to be interrupted a few times. So furniture overall needs to be replaced as well. Breakfast, which i had quickly before departing, was standard Hampton Inn fare.
Overall, I would not return here until the hotel has come into the 21st century and makes it more welcoming to the traveller.

The staff is the only thing that warranted the extra star on what should be a 1 star review. Everyone I met from the hotel staff was very polite, professional, and cheerful. When I was deciding on which property to stay at in the area, I selected this one becuase looking at the picture I assumed the property was newer but I was definitely wrong. The hotel itself is long overdue for repairs and renovations.
The bed was awful and we barely slept, which was not helped by the air conditioning that was excessively loud, constantly making hissing and whining noises.
Everything is stained... I'm not being dramatic, it's an unfortunate theme in this hotel. The sofa, floors, shower curtain, chairs, hallway carpet, walls... The list goes on and it's "Ewww" worthy.
I travel a lot for work, and I try and give the benefit of the doubt when able. Unfortunately this property is not up to Hampton Inns standards. Regardless of where this brand falls in the Hilton portfolio, my bare minimum expectation would be a good night's sleep in a clean room. Neither of those are the case here.
Reading other reviews leads me to believe that there may be better rooms in the hotel, but we certainly didn't get one.

Don't get me wrong the hotel was clean enough, staff was friendly and accommodating, but I was very disappointed in a situation that happened, and was not handled in the proper manner! We had a person staying in the room beside us. They had a dog that was barking constantly. I called the front desk around 530pm and told them that I didn't want that to be an issue all evening, and they said they would take care of it. All night they were constantly screaming, playing loud music, which in turn the dog was incecently barking. I called and told them this is not okay and they needed to take care of this! I could hear security bang on their door, which made the dog bark even more. I heard screaming then silence for about 5 min. Then came a slamming stuff and they started kicking our door and screaming at us! I called the desk and told them I was done, as this is absolutely unacceptable and I didn't feel safe. They said they are taking them to another floor and watching them for the remaining time we are there. I was not comfortable at all, and I felt in danger that they were going to retaliate against us! They didn't remove them from the hotel, and I'm from out of state and at that point it was 345am, so I wasn't going anywhere. so disappointed with how things were handled honestly. The staff was so nice, but it didn't help in getting absolutely NO sleep and felt in danger for myself, my boyfriend and our car! Please, I hope someone reads this ans tries somehow to make this situation right.
Thank you
Ps: My boyfriend also wrote a review and somehow it seemed to not be here, so hopefully they are not able to take this down, as I have other people willing to post this for me as well. This should not be hidden ! People should know what could possibly happen while they are there visiting. It is not the hotels fault that they were acting the way they were, but in turn the mishandling of the situation was unacceptable.

I was booked at the Hampden Inn in Chicopee (5 stars) but due to damage from a lightening strike was bounced 2x and ended up in West Springfield.
This hotel was older and in poor shape. The hallways looked shabby, room was uninviting and the general area around the hotel was somewhat dicey making me uncomfortable about coming in late. There were also little bugs found in the bathroom - annoying. Breakfast was available and that was well run with a very friendly server who obviously cared. On the funny side, the bed was so high had trouble getting in and out. There was no discount to the room price given all the circumstances.

When I travel back through the area, I will definitely make a remand stay at this location again. Staff is friendly and helpful. They gave suggestions on where to eat and the area has pretty much anything you would want or need during your stay.

Very polite and friendly staff. For coffee and fruits lovers, there is 24X7 coffee and some fruits available complementary for you. I really enjoyed stay with Hampton Inn West Springfield. For vegetarians, only couple of options for breakfast.

The hotel was definitely an older property. It was maintained decently, there were a couple things in the room that were needing maintenance like the wooden board to the right of the window (400) but the bed was so comfortable and the staff were super nice and they plowed their parking lot during the snowstorm and the location was good. I wasn’t expecting perfection but it was a fine stay.

I booked at a rate of 142 and ended up being charged 180 for the last night and it was still mid week. Tuesday through Thursday. When I asked about the rate increase the response was that it was what they did when they were close to sold out.
