Detailed Reviews
This hotel was clean and quiet. (Except for the men who monopolized the fire pit). I thought the suite was perfect, with a sofa and desk, a nice size kitchen, modern bathroom and separate bedroom. Yes if someone sleeps on the sofa they have to pass through the bedroom to use the bathroom. The hotel sells food items. They don’t serve breakfast during Covid, even though they say it on their website, at the front desk and on my reservation. Breakfast was a grab and go with yogurt, 4 Oz of orange juice, a granola bar, a sad apple and a tiny muffin. I wondered how to wash the skin of the apple as I don’t know who had touched it.My bag did not have a muffin. Neither did my replacement bag. There is no coffee in the lobby, I was told to use the room coffee, alas, I had already checked out and was grabbing my to-go bag. As this was just a quick overnight, I don’t know if there are other amenities ( pool, fitness, laundry) I imagine there is.

Thank you for your feedback. As we work our way through the Covid Pandemic, many amenities are limited due to the safety of our staff and guests. As things are constantly changing, we are working on updating as many third party sites as possible. In addition all staff has been trained on proper precautions to take when preparing items for guests. Our guest and staff safety will continue to be our top priority at this time. Best Regards,

Very standard Residence Inn. Room was ok. Breakfast is included - standard foods available (dry cereal, some kind of eggs, etc). Hotel entrance is not covered, so if checking in during rain or snow, you will get wet when bringing in your luggage. Note: parking costs $7 per day. Not many restaurants nearby but there is a grocery store .

This hotel has nice spacious rooms/suites but you can hear every word of those in the hallways and mgmt does not keep the hallways quiet so if you’re looking for a good nights sleep, this is not the place. breakfast is mediocre with sometimes cold eggs. Staff is friendly and professional. Good location.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. I am sorry to hear that you had some noisy neighbors in the hallway. Our hotel does address noise complaints as we receive them, but as you can imagine it is difficult to control the volume of voice people use in the hall at all times. Please let us know if you made the front desk aware, and they did not respond. If so, then that will be addressed. We hope you choose to stay with us in the future and will not let this deter you from choosing our hotel again.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, welcoming and eager to provide assistance. I found the breakfast staff to be efficient, accommodating and knowledgeable about what they can provide for someone with a dietary restriction. I would definitely stay here again.

We noticed a terrible smell in the room when we arrived, it was as if someone boiled some kind of ramen from a package every day in there. Next, we noticed a bug on the curtains, not to worry, killed it and thought ok... that happens. That night we were awoke many times during the night by slamming doors, laughing and loud talking in the halls. We had to be out by 7am, this was not good. I called the front desk at 2am to let them know what was happening. The women I spoke with didn't seem surprised and said she would check it out. Still went on, awake again at 3am and 4am. When our alarm finally did go off and we left the room there were two bags full of fast-food trash outside the room across the hall from us. I spoke to the front desk and said we would not like to stay the second night we had booked. I was told that was fine and given a small apology and told that the guests had been staying long term and that was their last night. NO thank you - we checked out and now staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Springfield. No smell, friendly & helpful staff and clean rooms. Don't book this hotel, you will not enjoy your stay.

A place to stay, great. Not a great place to stay.
I’ll start off with the good, then I’ll work my way to the bad. Neither too many bad or good things just straight to the point.
Pros:
Staff- friendly and helpful. Made sure we were alright and good mornings in the morning instead of the burning side eye silence you get when passing some people by…no? Just me?
Got locked out of my room (by my wife, cause she locked the deadbolt.) no fault on their end but the desk worker was polite and understanding.
Breakfast- My favorite, free-ninty-nine. Enough said. Just kidding because it could have been very plain or one selection but the breakfast and the staff were great.
Now to the cons
To give context I am a heavy sleeper, let me give you an example: My family and I were in old orchard beach in maine. Behind the place we stayed there was a train, everyone’s nightmare. Each morning someone in my family said how it woke them up 2-3 times. First day I was like “there’s a train behind us?”
Sure enough look out the back bathroom window and I could jump to the tracks.
Okay enough context, I am a heavy sleeper.
I have never been woken up so many times in the night. This place’s A/C is locked behind a door in the “master” and is loud as all ****. This alone has ruined the stay here, I do not understand why it is so loud.
Don’t get me started on the “well behaved” dog. YAP YAP YAP!!! Behaved my behind. AT 5A.M. Continually going unaddressed.
Save yourself the headache, go somewhere else. One star because if you can’t sleep why stay there no matter how nice staff is, i will not be staying again.

We are so sorry to hear that you did not get a restful night of sleep due to the air conditioner being loud. We will surely look into the matter and see what can be done. In regards to pets, yes we are pet friendly, but the expectation is always that pet owners will be mindful of their neighbors and keep the dog from barking. We always try our best to reach the owner if and when there is an issue. We hope you will change your mind and give us another try.

This particular hotel houses section 8 individuals. I was here for work and some things I noticed were people "hanging out" all over the hotel, smoking marijuana and cigarettes at the entrances, rap music blaring through the halls and children running amok. Other than those issues, it was a nice and clean hotel.

Residence Inn by Marriott is an extended stay hotel. We are the perfect fit for long term accommodations. Guests stay with us for many different reasons, from apartment remodels, to doctors working in hospitals. We do not ever discriminate against guests staying with us, however unruly behavior is addressed immediately if brought to our attention. Best regards, Anna B.

I was appalled at the condition of the guest room. Large amounts of black mold in both bath tubs, tremendous amount of dust and dirt build up on air conditioning vents, large bleach stains in carpet, fireplace did not work, gouges in wall in one of the bedrooms. I brought the situation to the attention of the front desk. Michelle from the front desk came to our room to witness our sitings. The first thing she said was "Oh my god, that is gross!" My feelings were the same. There was no offer to correct the problem from the line level, the supervisor level, and the asst. GM level. Left my business card for GM to contact me. I have still not received a call. The staff at the hotel were friendly. However, no ability to resolve customer complaints. I am a devoted Marriott customer, but no longer a Residence Inn, West Springfield, MA customer!

Unfortunately I never had a chance to stay at this hotel but want to offer a word of warning for anyone that would like to stay here and suggest that they proceed with caution. I reserved a block of rooms back in December 2011 for a stay in July 2012 and 37 families called up and secured their rooms. When someone from within our group called up 2 weeks before to request a banquet room she was told there was a problem and they've been meaning to call to let me know about it (they would not speak with her because her name was not on the contract even though she had her own reservation). Basically, they were no longer able to accomodate the 37 rooms we had reserved. They told us they were relocating us nearby into 2 different hotels (15 minutes apart from one another) which happen to be 35 minutes away in CT. They were not even offering us a group rate discount. They said there were no rooms in the immediate area . Since then, more than half of our group was able to relocate to the Springfield Marriott or Sheraton Monarch which are only 5 minutes away but $100 more per night. In addition, there were 6 families traveling in our group that mistakenly did not book under our reservation code and ironically, all their reservations were still good (they are paying a higher rate of $209 per night for a 1 bedroom and we were only paying $139). I have a signed Sales agreement that obviously means nothing to this Marriott property. I still can't believe this happened and it has ruined my opinion of the Residence Inn and Marriott in general. Thank goodness everyone within our group was able to find a room for the weekend even though we are all paying a higher rate. The worst part is that we would have all shown up there and not had a room available or any place to go. To think that we only found out by accident. They didn't even notify the 36 other members in my group until 3 days after I found out. I hope their profits for the weekend make up for the lack of business Marriott will be receiving from our 37 families going forward.

This was a great motel. Very clean and very new. It had two bedrooms and baths for one great price. The only thing that made me unhappy was the charge of 75.00 to have a pet. Otherwise, I would recommend gladly.
