We arrived at around 8"30 pm and no one was around. We noticed a sign with a telephone number to call. We called the number and the manager that evening said that he would be there in a few minutes. He arrived and checked us in. We told him that one of us had a birthday, He gave us an upgrade to a nice suite and then brought us a nice bottle of wine. The hotel was part of a hotel chain that have given me a 10% discount but this hotel was nnot part of that program. The manager gave me a card giving me 15% off the next time I was in town. i was satisfied with this effort. There was no breakfast at this hotel because of Covid so we walked about 4 minutes to MEMOS which had a great breakfast, It was a very enjoyable stay

My husband is staying at the Regency Inn and Suites for a long period due to work, I frequently visit and everytime im greeted kindly w a first name base..The hospitality is greatly appreciated, anytime u ask for anything they r on it or they point you in the right direction. Their are so many conveniences and attractions near the hotel. so many places to eat and shop and all awhile your spending money on food and fun things to do, the hotel is very affordable and the rooms are clean and the staff is on it!! Thanks to all for making our stay worth while.

So far have stayed at his Hotel twice. In both cases found staff very professional, friendly and accommodating. Our room and bathrooms were very clean. no dust through out the rooms. Also free breakfast, Wi-Fi. Excellent location, close to most events including Exposition grounds across the way also reasonable rates. No elevators, but not a problem. Some say the building is old not trendy. But a good old. almost magical. you would have to go there to see what I mean.

This is kind of hotel that makes your wife say, “Keep driving honey, there is No WAY we staying here!” That is to say that the exterior is uninviting. When we arrived, the lights and clock were unplugged, so getting that sorted took a few minutes of experimentation! Interior rooms have sliding doors that open into a former event space that is now a storage area. In our bathroom there was no hairdryer, the toilet paper holder was missing, the fan made unusual noises, and there was evidence of the last visitors (a hair or two) in the shower. On the upside the air conditioning worked, there’s a bidet attached to the toilet (should you dare), the shower worked fine and the toilet paper was of surprisingly high quality.

As I've mentioned in other reviews the only things I really look for in a hotel are clean rooms and well-maintained facilities. The Regency Inn and Suites in West Springfield was neither in my experience. One of the pillows on the bed was out and out dirty, and in one corner of the room the rug was no longer tethered to the floor (see photo). The staff was friendly but until they take basic care of their rooms and actually wash linens properly I can't recommend staying here.

After my son’s graduation ceremony, we decided to go check into the hotel so we could all freshen up for dinner. You can imagine our surprise when we pulled into the parking lot of the Regency Hotel to find it empty (save a derelict car) and the doors to the hotel locked with a closed sign. I’m still waiting on Expedia to resolve this issue as I was already charged for my room. 😡

Pros- check in person was very nice & friendly Cons- the place was very old, outdated, dirty, hallway floors not vacuumed in awhile, trash falling out of trash barrel, trash bags near the barrel which was still there in the morning, weird bugs found in bathroom, many dead mini flies found in tub, mismatched comforters in room, birds nest destroyed everywhere with bird feathers found on " balcony", & no hot water in the am for myself & my son. Feel bad for them because obviously COVID has affected them & the maintenance of this property. Also, found where the pool once was- the pool is still there with water removed, liner ripped with lots of junk & furniture stored in this area. Hate to say it but don't stay here. I found another hotel that was brand named & it was so much better

Lobby is set up like a shrine. Not really traveler friendly. That space could be used for so much more comfort for travelers. Stair tread going upstairs is way to narrow. Had to go up sideways with my luggage. Ice machine has black mold in bottom. Main light in bedroom did not work. Faucet loose in bathroom. Ice bucket missing. Hotel is run down condition. Room was clean.

I've been in the hotel for 3 nights. The building is very old and it is not in a great shape. The rooms are big and clean, and I can't stay they weren't comfortable, but it's a 1-2 stars hotel, they charged me 90$/night before tax, I wouldn't pay more than 65$.
The staff were nice and helpful, and the location is very good (2 minutes from springfield center, 1 minute from the highway).
The breakfast is really bad, but the 24 hours service of a nice coffee machine and juice machine is a nice gesture.
The inner pool looks beautiful, it is old, but it is designed very nicely and I would love to test it - only it was closed because of authorization problems. I was told daily that it would be fixed - but it was kept close.
The neighbourhood is a little shabby, not a great place to walk at night.

Outside looked bad had a bad feign when pulled in the parking lot!! But thought can't judge a book by the cover upon entering father sleeping on couch in lobby!! Immediately asked if not satisfied could I get a refund because had reserved online and this dump was not what there web site looked like must have cropped pictures!!! Ended up just putting keys on counter and to them not staying here walked by indoor pool which was very very dirty and smelled like pee!!! Gonna try 2 get a return charge on my credit card!!!! If cant learned a valuable lesson font book hotel online without it being a big popular chain!!!! Of u will get bed bugs!!!! Also cost was 98&sum change!! Huge rip off wouldn't have stayed for free went and paid 113.oo at comfort inn so so so much betta should have just booked there ;(
