We were told entry was R200 per person... The owner Gary then charged us R300 per person.. During the course of the day we met other people who only paid R 200...i then politely asked Gary why he overcharged us and I was told I can F. Ck off if I am moaning about R100 extra... This man is beyond rude and fishing rules on his farm is beyond rediculous.. With this kind of attitude I think he will have to close his farm very soon

We booked some rooms for our wedding at another venue in Nottingham Road. The rooms were clean, and the location was close to our venue, making everything easy for us and our guests. Wood was available, and that is always a nice touch.

However, that is where the praise ends - We were appalled by how we were treated and spoken to by Shirley before the weekend had even begun. There are ways to communicate with customers, especially if miscommunication occurs. There were no emails to check in or remind us about everything that had to be settled in a reasonable amount of time but rather an aggressive and demanding email the day before - The slight on our characters was prominent and unnecessary. This is no way to run a business or treat paying customers.

Our guests staying at Troutbagger Farm were on the receiving end of homophobic remarks, general rudeness and a complete lack of hospitality. It is SO unfortunate that we were all mistreated. The owners are difficult, unkind and only care about the money.

Troutbagger Farm is not a safe and inclusive space, and I would not recommend it to anyone, especially when there are better places to stay run by much kinder people. Ultimately, the venue is fine, and we are grateful that the place was fine and clean and that our guests were safe, but the entire experience was so dismal that it tarnished all the good that was experienced by all. I hope the owners choose to be kinder in the future - or consider a change of business. You are not helping yourselves or your business, which is a shame.

No fish or any sign of fish..300 per person to fish and 100 per person accomping. Only my son fished and he had 3 rods which he used 1 at a time..cos of different type of rods and different lures.. Gary the owner used vulgar language in frot of my little daughter and my wife accusing 3 people of fishing..even tho I told him it's only my son..as my daughter and wife don't know how to fish..and I'm not interested as there's no fish in any case..stay away from this dump..seen potholes bigger than his so called dams..this guy is seriously sick.
