This Hotel was kind enough to allow us to come stay with them during a time that most Hotels were not taking anybody in except Essential Workers, and they were in the same category as well, but they allowed us to come with a Waiver to stay with them because we had a good personal reason to be in the area and needed a place to safely stay. We appreciate this Hotel. The Staff were all friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is not a new hotel but it is well kept and very clean and comfortable. The location of the Hotel is in a safe area and is conveniently located. Unfortunately, with the State Wide shut downs they could not give us any Breakfast nor Coffee in the Lobby. The Hotel practiced Social Distancing, and wore Face Masks when necessary. No Social gatherings were allowed inside the Hotel, just a place to sleep and stay in your room. They did have daily Housekeeping Services to clean and refresh your Room. Although no Amenities were open, but they do have a nice looking Indoor Pool, and a small Business Center in the Lobby area, and a nice sized separate Breakfast Room, and Guest Laundry, and a Fitness Center. Our Room was comfortable and had a closet, Iron and Board, No personal Safe, but we did have a Mini Refrigerator and a Microwave, and a Work Desk. The Bathroom had a Tub and Shower Combination, with plenty of good Hot Water Pressure. The only thing that we noticed in our Room 322, we had in the Bathroom a bottom Wall Tile that had gaps in it, and in the Room the Ceiling had a Stain in it that looked like it was once a leak, otherwise all was good. We would certainly stay here again if in the area and we do recommend this Hotel.

While I rated this Holiday Inn Express Very Good it’s average for Holiday Inn Express properties. If you’ve stayed at more than 1 or 2 you know what you’re getting. I’m sure there are a few that aren’t as clean as this one, or their staff is surly. However IGH properties pride themselves on being consistently clean, comfortable and cheap across the board so that travelers know what to expect. In the case of this property it’s your average Holiday Inn. Clean rooms, nice staff, decent, though uninspired, free breakfast & reasonable prices. It’s curb appeal is underwhelming but if you expect typical Holiday Inn amenities & are ok with them (as were we) you’ll be fine here. We expect to return.

The Holiday Inn Express Ludlow is very typical of all of the chain’s other locations. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, rooms are clean and well furnished, there is plenty of free parking and breakfast is warm and tasty. The primary challenge I had, is likely impossible to fix. My second floor room was remarkably loud. My upstairs neighbor was pacing the floor and the sound of him/her marching back and forth was remarkably loud in my room. I’m assuming the 3 story building is all wood and thus the sound comes straight through. Happily he/she didn’t pace much after 9 pm so I got a great night’s sleep on a very comfortable bed.
Would I go back... sadly not. The sound issue is real.

The hotel itself is not bad. As soon as we got out of the elevator on the second floor the smell of marijuana was overwhelming ( even though there are no smoking signs everywhere) . Looks like this is not enforced, We got back to the hotel around 11pm at night and right by the front door there were people smoking their marijunana. The one positive , the lady working at the breakfast area is outstanding. She keeps everything very clean and is incredibly patient and accommodating to peoples requests ( for example to get a to go breakfast)

The location is great - right off the Pike. It’s surrounded by not so pretty buildings but the hotel itself is always clean and we were particularly impressed by the front desk staff. Friendly, efficient, kind and going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Beds very comfy. I booked 2 x rooms for myself and another couple but noticed I've been charged 2 x 100 usd on top of the room rate. I questioned this with reception and they told me this would be refunded but still a day later its not. I now have to go to the trouble of finding out where this money is and being from the UK on holiday is not something I want to be doing.

The staff! The young blonde woman who checked me in was extremely friendly and professional. She actually had worked her way up from being a room maid at the hotel. She was polite and clearly cared about the customer. The two women assisting with breakfast on the weekends were also very friendly and wanted to make sure I had everything I could want. They assisted with the pancake machine, which can be finnicky. On the weekday I was there, a different woman was handling breakfast. I commented on how the breakfast on the weekends and on that weekday were ready before the time stated and she explained that she likes to make sure guests get their food right away, as she knows they have busy schedules and places to be. This kind of customer service is harder and harder to find nowadays!

Stayed one night, front desk personnel very friendly with easy check in and out. King size room on the third floor was clean and roomy. Air conditioning worked well, bedding and pillows were comfortable, no issues with WiFi. Breakfast was grab and go bags (due to COVID-19, the breakfast area was closed). Free parking, easy access to major highways.

This place is nice and clean. Beds are comfy. Pillows are nice. Night time clerk was pretty nice and helpful. In the morning we went to get breakfast at 8:30 my grand daughter wanted some biscuits and gravy and they were out. We seen the lady pull it out and take it to back thinking she was filling it up but no .. she never came and replenish it. When we were leaving at 9:15 I heard her tell another guest no gravy so I think once they are out they are out:( Plus at 6:45 I was awakened by a rooster yes rooster 🐔 they cluck or whatever they do clear until 7 and we were on 3rd floor! Ugh.
