We can't say enough nice things about our stay at The Inn on the Sound. The hospitality is amazing, the rooms are beautiful, and breakfast is the best B&B breakfast we've ever had. I love the contactless check in/out...it's just so much simpler and quicker upon arrival to pick up your paperwork and key and go about your day. Help is always a call away if you need it (we didn't) but I personally really like the minimal contact approach. We can't wait to stay again at this beautiful property!
The toughest part was deciding which absolutely beautiful room to stay in! We loved our winter escape - we walked the beach, visited Nobska Light, had fantastic seafood and looked over the sound to Martha’s Vineyard and returned home to a warm fire in the library. A breakfast menu was provided on check-in and ready at your requested time to take in your room, balcony, library, or dining room. In the afternoon, in addition to 24 hour coffee and tea, there were delicious chocolate caramel cheesecake bites, and a strawberry chiffon (yum) bite too. We had planned to take the 45 minute ferry to Martha’s Vineyard for lunch but the weather was not in our favor, but we were very cozy in the inn and it was nice to watch the ever-changing light, sky, and waves from our room. We’ll save our day trip to MV and our Shining Sea Bike Trail for our next visit! We loved our stay and will look forward to returning! …
We stayed here for 3 nights. The location and rooms are wonderful. The breakfasts are fantastic, and supplemented by baked treats in the afternoon. And we can't say enough good things about Debbie. She's present, friendly, informative, gracious - and never intrusive. We also enjoyed dinner at Shipwrecked nearby.
Just a perfect stay on the Cape! It's exactly as pictured + the sweetest, most accommodating staff. We were also so impressed with how quiet it was-- the rooms must be soundproofed or something. Comfy rooms, yummy breakfast, ocean views, what more could you want?
The Inn on the Sound is a lovely upscale Inn that sets itself apart not only with its great ocean front location but also with its more transitionally appointed rooms that it a cleaner, updated feel. We had a room with a balcony and did use it, but there is also a great front porch with several tables with the same view. We took our breakfasts on that porch, which were creative, indulgent, and very filling. The inn also provides several beverages all day (coffee, tea, assorted soda's, water), cookies in the afternoon, and beach gear (towels, chairs, umbrellas). There is a beach almost right across the street and two restaurants in walking distance.
