We've stayed here several years ago and are happy to report it's still the best hotel for our visits to DC. We love the huge living room/kitchenette room along with the separate bedroom with nice views of Bethesda buildings when you're high up. They serve a wonderful breakfast and are about a block away from the Metro stop at Bethesda. The room darkening shades were great on this super hot weekend stay though the A/C handled the temperature nicely. The kitchenette and frig are a good size even with paper towels and essential dish washing/machine washing materials on the counter and well stocked shelves with glasses, plates, knives, etc. We'll be back next time we're in DC. Valet parking is expensive but that's the case everywhere and still doesn't make this hotel too expensive.

This hotel is following Covid guidelines. It is clean and the rooms are a good size due to the suite format. The problem is that it is impossible to sleep beyond 6:30 in the morning because there is so much construction next to and near the hotel that the beeping starts as early as 6 or 7 every weekday. We stayed not he 11th floor and it was constant beeping, banging and general construction noise. There is nothing that they can do, but I can't even recommend a room because there is construction surrounding the area. The grab and go breakfast is ok for a Covid situation, but don't expect the usual buffet. There is no housekeeping unless you request it. You have to call to get new towels or trash removed. They will provide housekeeping if you request it, but we found it was easier with covid to just skip it. We also skipped the valet parking and used the self park garage around the corner. There are several self park options within one block of the hotel. The location is great as you can walk to the metro and all of the restaurants and shops in Bethesda.

I have been coming to this hotel for about 15 years. I remember this hotel when they had awesome people, awesome valets and awesome customer service. You will be lucky, if someone at the front desk, looks up at you when you come back into the hotel after a day of work. I remember back in the day; they greeted you every time you walked in. You felt like you were home. I’m not sure if this is a training hotel or if it has converted to a regular MOTEL. But, you can tell the difference this hotel is not what it used to be!! Come on residence Inn, you have got to do better than what you are doing. I understand that there is a pandemic going on; but your Hotel is falling to the waste side; especially in Bethesda Maryland!!! STAND UP TO YOU NAME!!!

I visited Bethesda for the first time last week and I was glad I stayed here. The location: Central and two blocks away from the Bethesda train stop. I came from NYC, 3 hours on the Amtrak to DC, then 45 minutes from DC Union Station to Bethesda. The hotel is two or three blocks walking from the station. The hotel: Rooms are large and work nicely for an extended stay. It’s a little doom and gloom with all the COVID precautions right now but that is temporary. I felt safe checking in and the hotel room was clean. Breakfast was a grab/go via croissant, water, and a nutrition bar. The gym was open. I would stay there again and start exploring downtown.
