Just spent a very relaxing peaceful week in lodge no. 10 Elite Spa 2 (located at end of the park opposite the lake). The lodge was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need including a sauna and hot tub. We received a lovely friendly welcome from Sharon the site manager who was always on hand but never intrusive.

Site is perfectly located for days out, we particularly enjoyed Gloucester quays and Cathedral, Symonds Yat, a walk along the river in Ross on Wye and Goodrich Castle. The Kilcot Inn is a 10/15 min walk away (follow directions given in welcome pack due to busy main road) and is ideal for a meal and drink. We would also highly recommend The Mill Race gastro pub in Ross on Wye the food was fantastic.

All in all a lovely relaxing holiday made all the better for the fantastic weather we had. Thank you to all involved.

We enjoyed a very peaceful 4 night break at Ford Farm Lodges w/c 10th August. The Lodge itself was immaculately clean and it was evident that additional cleaning had been undertaken in light of the Covid situation. The lodge had everything we needed including toiletries in the bathroom and kitchen bits and pieces. We found the beds comfortable, wardrobes spacious, kitchen well equipped and enjoyed using the outdoor furniture provided to sit outside on the porch reading in the evening and drinking a glass of wine. For us it was about getting away and having a complete break. We visited nearby Symonds Yat Rock which was beautiful, Ross on Wye and took a wander around Hereford. It was very hot the week we were there so one day we didn't go out until the evening because of our dog and spent the day just chilling out, reading and enjoying the peaceful, quiet environment. There is a big space within the park for our children to play which they liked. Martyn and Malcolm are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful break.

We stayed in lodge 3 which had recently been redecorated, it is a lovely lodge, big enough to create evening meals if you want to, relax and nip in and out of the hot tub. There were fresh flowers and things to wash your dishes which was really nice and helpful, plus soap dispenser in the shower room - I loved the shower, totally modern. There were even 2 cotton dressing gowns to use to go out to the hot tub! Malcolm and Martin are very helpful, friendly and chatty. Their welcome book provides good information on walks, nearby restaurants etc. They are very much on board with preventing covid and have hand sanitiser at the door and deep clean after each usage - this is why check in/out are now set at 5pm & 9am which is understandable given the cleaning tasks. (In time this may change - who knows whats in store for us all!). It is sat in a very relaxing area but there is a pub within walking distance which was a bonus. The pub was also good and the food very nice (Kilcott Inn). Thanks for a great break guys, we loved it

We had a lovely stay in the Kilcot Elite Spa 2 Lodge. We were warmly welcomed and given a folder of information about the lodge as well as walks in the area.
The lodge had clearly been thoroughly cleaned and sanitiser was on the porch which made us feel safe. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, pots and pans as well as plenty of storage space to fit your own food in. We were provided with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, soap, food safe sanitiser, shampoo, conditioner, bath robes and a tub of a selection of coffees and hot chocolates which majorly surpassed expectations. Fresh flowers on the dining room table were also a lovely touch. The bedroom had a large wardrobe and vanity, the bed was very comfortable. The sauna was of good size for two people. The hot tub was big, had colour changing lights and the jets could be adjusted to our liking. Also, the lodge had a washing line and pegs which was very handy! We would definitely love to stay again (I've already been looking at dates), thank you for such a luxurious stay, it is definitely the nicest place we have ever stayed in!
Tip for future stays - maybe bring your own bathroom floor mat, there is a wooden board but this doesn't soak up water great, especially if you are going to make lots of trips from the shower to the hot tub!

We booked a weeks stay via Hoseasons and despite the typical British weather we had a great time. This is a small site with fewer than a dozen holiday lets. Their is a range of lodge types ranging from the more basic Kilcot lodge up-to the Kilcot Elite spar 2, in which we stayed.
Over the years I have stayed in a number of this type of accommodation and I was very pleasantly surprised by the no expense spared way in which this lodge had been fitted out. From the jacuzzi hot tub, the Bosch cookers and microwave to the full size Miele fridge freezer this place is very well equipped for a weeks stay, providing everything needed for a relaxing break, (although the electric sauna was probably an overkill for us).
The Elite Spar 2 is ideally situated at the end of a row of lodges making it very private and although from the decking you do get a very small amount of traffic noise this in no way distracted from the overall relaxing atmosphere. The decking not only has the hot tub but also a small kettle bbq, which needs to be placed on the grass area when in use. Knowing that a bbq was there we took a couple of disposable bbq’s these fitted well into the kettle and proved far easier to clean.
The owners are always on hand to assist if needed but not in an obtrusive way, the hot tub water is checked twice daily and any problems, should you have any, would be sorted out quickly.
Overall an excellent place to stay in a very attractive part of the country.

Dear Norman, Thank you for leaving us such a great review. We strive to maintain a 'home from home' feel to the lodges, and it is so nice to hear that our guests appreciate these comforts. I'm pleased to hear that you we were on hand if you should need any assistance or advice during your stay, without feeling that we were obtrusive. Although I can fully understand that the sauna was a little extreme for this time of year, many of our guests regularly use them and find them greatly beneficial as infrared light has been proven to help with joint pain, often more in the winter months. And most of all, we're glad that you enjoyed your staycation here at Ford Farm! Take care and stay safe. Kind regards, Martyn

The greeting we received when arriving was friendly and informative. Following covid 19 rules.

The accommodation was very clean when arriving, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc, washing up liquid, shampoo and body washed supplied. We loved the bath robes!

The main area was cosy with an electric fire. The kitchen hosted all that was needed.
The bath room had a warm towel radiator and a large walk in shower.
Obviously the best part was the regularly cleaned hot tub!

We loved our stay and would definitely recommend and re visit. Thank you to the hosts.
Sorry the pictures were taken after we made ourself at home!

We would just like to share our experience about Ford farm lodges. We booked 4 nights from Monday to Friday and it was amazing. On arrival we were able to check in from 4pm but due to traffic, we didn’t check in until 730pm and it was so dark. We phoned to say we arrived and kept them updated by text to say what time we were arriving as check in is up until 6pm. Martin and Malcolm are lovely owners, Martin showed us to our lodge and said Malcolm would be down shortly to explain a few things. Malcolm arrived a few minutes later to show us how to work the hot tub abs explained about the local area, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Then as we looked around the lodge all we can say is wow, it was amazing! So much thought and detail, they have thought about everything all the little extras such as fresh flowers, dvds, board games, lighters to light the fire, lots of kitchen gadgets and utensils were all such great touches. The log fire was lovely and made the log so cosy, we enjoyed it that much we brought extra logs from Malcolm as they do provide the initial ones in the colder months, the lodge was spotlessly clean and when you open the doors onto the back, you have your own private little space, with hot tub, bbq, table and chairs which is lovely and peaceful, all you can hear is the stream and the wildlife. The site itself is small but well kept and very private, during our stay we only really saw Malcolm and that was when he came to test the hot tub and a person walking now and again. Few nice walks near by and close drives away from places like Gloucester town centre. Pubs near by however we didn’t use these so are unable to comment. Overall a great experience. Thank you so much Emma & John

We have just returned from a 4 night mini break. I can honestly say that the holiday was the most relaxing we have ever been on. The lodges were incredibly private and we barely heard or seen anyone during our stay. We were welcomed on our arrival and given an introduction about the lodge and local area. The lodge was clean, well equipped, and felt incredibly homely. We took our little dog with us and felt it was a nice touch that there was a towel outside for her paws. The hot tub was amazing and well looked after, it is checked twice a day to make sure it is all in order, the water is fresh for arrival and emptied on the day you leave, we witnessed this being done and it is nice to know that hygiene and cleanliness is taken seriously. The grounds were immaculate, not a blade of grass out of place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking for when we might be able to come back next year. Thank you Ford Farm Lodges for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the Kilcot Spa lodge and found everything we needed for a lovely stay. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our lodge, abiding by social distancing at all times. We were very happy with the cleanliness of our lodge and were pleasantly surprised by the supply of hand sanitiser, soap and washing up liquid.
Kitchen was well stocked. Bathroom was really nice with a big walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable - a little firm which I prefer.
We fell in love with the hot tub which was well sheltered from neighbours. Sitting in the spa looking at the stars became out new favourite place to be.
Thank you so much for having us. We would love to return to your gorgeous lodges again and hopefully not get our week chopped in half by a lockdown.

Dear John, I really enjoyed your company during your stay, it's great to be able to talk with guests and pass the time of day. Perhaps trying to put the world to rights at times, but I'm sure this would've taken us a little while longer to do! The Green Woodpeckers are wonderful to see, and we have sighted numerous species this year. It's so nice to hear that people appreciate the Wildlife here at Ford Farm, particularly during these difficult times, it is wonderful to be so close to nature. It was a real pleasure to have you here as a guest, and I am really glad that you enjoyed your stay. Take care and stay safe. With best wishes, Martyn
