Suite 3 - so small, thought it would be similar to suite 4, but a little smaller bc not accessible. In need of an update and bathroom had an odor
Suite 4 - no odor, probably bc no rugs. Queen size would be an improvement, it’s tough for 2 people to sleep in double beds. We enjoyed the picnic table.
Room 13 - view was great, but musty stale odor was awful. The rugs need to be replaced or new floors installed.
Some rooms had small glasses, some didn’t. Some had teaspoons, some didn’t.
I think they should mention if you need towels, toilet paper etc, should call in morning, bc no one answers phone in afternoon and lobby is a few hotels down the road.
We were on the second floor - the second to last room. The windows are like fishbowls. They do not open, and your choice is either to draw the heavy drapes closed for any semblance of privacy or else anyone walking by has full view of your room. Since these are shared balconies people walk by to access the stairs. They do provide flimsy dollar store chairs outside your room, but it’s not clear which room they belong to because there are not enough to go one per door.
Now for inside: the carpets were filthy, the linoleum floor was dipped with soft spots under it. The “kitchenette“ was something that looked like from the 1950s. There were two electric burners, and at some point it looked like there was an oven that was screwed shut with drywall screws. When you opened the upper cabinet doors, they scraped the drop ceiling and hit the recessed lighting. It’s obvious that this has been the case for a long time because there were track marks where the cabinets scraped the ceiling. The bathroom decor made it up to the 1970s. With a blue tub and old and worn fixtures. We did eventually get a shower curtain when we called the main office which was three blocks away. They sent a runner.
Reported broken glass in the driveway which was a concern for the young children. We picked it up the next day when no one came.
The heated pool was nice. There. Something positive.

It is convenient to ocean and boardwalk/pier.

It was nice to have a kitchenette with cooking pans, dishes, utensils and drink ware. The room was clean. The air conditioner was kind of loud. The only thing I didn’t like was that the only window opened into a hallway which was lined with windows, but odd. Many years ago we stayed in an ocean view room and I think I’d prefer that over the back annex next time.
