Suite 3,4 and Ocean front 13.
Suite 3 - so small, thought it would be similar to suite 4, but a little smaller bc not accessible. In need of an update and bathroom had an odor
Suite 4 - no odor, probably bc no rugs. Queen size would be an improvement, it’s tough for 2 people to sleep in double beds. We enjoyed the picnic table.
Room 13 - view was great, but musty stale odor was awful. The rugs need to be replaced or new floors installed.
Some rooms had small glasses, some didn’t. Some had teaspoons, some didn’t.
I think they should mention if you need towels, toilet paper etc, should call in morning, bc no one answers phone in afternoon and lobby is a few hotels down the road.

We stayed in room 14 with our children ages newborn to 10 years old. The room was very comfortable and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We were very impressed with how quiet the room was. We also enjoyed the proximity to the beach and to downtown. The pool was clean and not overly crowded. At one point when the pool did become a little more rambunctious it was nice to see a staff member come out and control the situation. The rooms might seem a little dated, but it is also from wear and tear of being so close to the ocean. Even though they were fully booked parking was not a problem with their extra parking lots across the street. We would definitely return to the facility.

The room was dated with an old fashioned bathroom (room was very clean though). However, the location was excellent with free parking. You are so close to the beach that you can walk barefooted from your hotel room. You are also close to downtown but it was quiet during the night.

We found out later what Oceanside means: It means the ocean is out there and you’re on the side of the building. Zero views unless parking lot counts.
We were on the second floor - the second to last room. The windows are like fishbowls. They do not open, and your choice is either to draw the heavy drapes closed for any semblance of privacy or else anyone walking by has full view of your room. Since these are shared balconies people walk by to access the stairs. They do provide flimsy dollar store chairs outside your room, but it’s not clear which room they belong to because there are not enough to go one per door.
Now for inside: the carpets were filthy, the linoleum floor was dipped with soft spots under it. The “kitchenette“ was something that looked like from the 1950s. There were two electric burners, and at some point it looked like there was an oven that was screwed shut with drywall screws. When you opened the upper cabinet doors, they scraped the drop ceiling and hit the recessed lighting. It’s obvious that this has been the case for a long time because there were track marks where the cabinets scraped the ceiling. The bathroom decor made it up to the 1970s. With a blue tub and old and worn fixtures. We did eventually get a shower curtain when we called the main office which was three blocks away. They sent a runner.

Reported broken glass in the driveway which was a concern for the young children. We picked it up the next day when no one came.

The heated pool was nice. There. Something positive.

OMG, worst room I have stayed in for years, and I travel a lot. Started by booking the room at the owners really nice check in area, not realizing I was being sent to a building, three buildings away! Room was disgusting, and no parking right there, had to park my car across the street and up a ways in a parking lot! Room was too small for the furniture, meaning that you had to slide by the dresser and bed, because there wasn't enough room to actually walk past the bed. Mold looking fungus on the front of the door, the room smelled when we walked in, which makes sense. No window that opens. Bare minimum water pressure in the shower, and no coffee in the morning unless you want to walk all the way over to that other building. Yes, coffee machine in the room with powdered creamer. Yuch. Bugs flying around inside the room. Just a very old decrepit room, and $200+ for one night, the weekend after Labor Day! Yes, you could walk out of the room, and through the parking lot that was full, out to the beach.

Arrived to find the office closed with a sign to walk three blocks to Waves to receive keys, paperwork. 29 minute covid wait. Booked through hotels.com, was only charged for one night on a two night booking confirmation, had to pay the remainder at hotel. When it was time for bed, turned down bedding to find previous guests eyelashes and mascara glued to the white comforter. There isn’t any breakfast, evening movies or housekeeping.
It is convenient to ocean and boardwalk/pier.

Room 45, Back Annex

It was nice to have a kitchenette with cooking pans, dishes, utensils and drink ware. The room was clean. The air conditioner was kind of loud. The only thing I didn’t like was that the only window opened into a hallway which was lined with windows, but odd. Many years ago we stayed in an ocean view room and I think I’d prefer that over the back annex next time.

This hotel looked really lovely in the photos, and read really well, so we were looking forward to our stay by the sea. Upon arrival, everything looked pretty nice from the road and the reception was quite pleasant. However, everything changed as soon as we rounded the corner - the outside of the building needed repair. Inside, we clearly didn't have one of the "many newly renovated rooms" - ours was disgusting - very dated, very low ceiling with loose and falling panels, dirty blue bathroom faucets, the bed had shocks rolled together and the pillows were hard as rocks, there was an old tin kitchen with mismatched pieces in the cupboards. The floor was sloping and very uneven. We even found a dirty, dried out washcloth on the shower rod. There was also no soundproofing between rooms. And the trains honking past in the middle of the night didn't help either. It was the worst stay ever. And what about the train that passes 3 times a night. After the second night we were moved to another suite. From suit 7 to suit 1, much less interesting but of course at the same price. The owners blamed it all on Expedia.

We stayed in room 29, which is an Oceanside room, on floor 3. The view was absolutely amazing. The bed was beyond comfy, and everything was extremely clean. We will be back, hoping for an ocean front preferably 26!

We don't have a picture of the bathroom but i can say that the Sea View is more updated than the Waves. Both were clean, but the Sea View is definately nicer. Hope this helps.

We found it nice to be able to access two pools while we were there. I tried to vote in favor of the Property Representative's response above but it recorded it as a '-1'. That was not my intention at all. We loved our stay at both properties and look forward to our next visit!
