If you are looking for a convenient location in Old Orchard Beach, the Executive Motel is within short walking distance to the beach and attractions in the area. The owners were very friendly and room was clean. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time vacationing in Maine and we really enjoyed our stay at The Executive Motel. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. The location was perfect with a short walk to the beach and a few blocks from the Pier with shops and restaurants. The owners and staff are super nice and really helped make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is a no frills place to stay. We rented a queen and double bed room which was very clean. No frills to me means no pillow top bed, 1 flat pillow for all, no fluffy towels no complimentary shampoo no coffee pot in room.
Now what it did have: Right across from the beach with easy access. Swimming pool on premise, Clean room, AC, very close to downtown with plenty of restaurants and shopping you can walk to all of these things even with small children. Family owned and they are very helpful and friendly.

The Executive Motel is wonderful! From our first moment of arriving, the owners Ben, Mary and their son Ben Jr. were so accommodating and friendly. Our room, Room 16 (two doubles with a small kitchen) was perfect for our needs. It IS just across the street from the beach. Our children greatly enjoyed the pool when we weren't hanging out on the beach. The owners and staff were readily available to answer any questions and help us with anything we needed. The overall "vibe" of The Executive is warm and simple. It's a great location for families AND couples that are looking for a peaceful pocket near the Pier. Palace Playland is a 5-minute walk along with many restaurants, bagel and souvenir shops.

***DO NOT RENT FROM HERE*** We booked a room for a holiday weekend. Our card was immediately charged for one night which was fine. But then we got a phone call at 8 pm the night before our reservation telling us that our room was only one double bed in a small room. This was not at all what we reserved. When I called to book the reservation the woman advised me it would be a room with two queen sized beds. The woman on the phone said she could refund the charge if I didn’t want to book the room any longer. I asked her why I wasn’t told that it would be a small room when the original lady said it was a double queen room and she said she wasn’t sure. I asked if we were the very last people to book as she stated they had “no other rooms available”. And she said we were the last to book. I told her to keep the reservation because I probably wouldn’t be able to find anything else in such short notice. I called about 30 other hotels in the area and everyone was booked. Which I assumed would be the case since it was already Friday. So we decided to just go with what we had already booked. Upon check in the woman was extremely rude and told me that they don’t rent to “locals” and that it was small family motel not for “young partyers”. Mind you I live 35 mins away and I am in my mid 30’s. We weren’t planning on having a party in the room, but we figured it would be convenient to spend the days at the beach and have diner and drinks around the area without having to travel back and forth both days. When I checked in the woman said she would only rent to us for the one night since it was already charged to my cc and it would be the small double bed room and we would need to find another place to stay the other night. How rude!!! In the mean time while I was filling out the paper work a middle aged couple came through the doors asking if there was any vacancy and she said yes would you like to see the room? They looked at the room and decided not to rent it, so I asked why we couldn’t have that room since it was what we were told we had originally booked and she said no we cant do that. What???! First of she is prejudice against “locals” and secondly she LIES and was very un-accommodating. Unless I guess you are “non-local” and either old or a family. Also the website says the rooms were recently updated…I personally don’t consider old school floral and wood décor from the 80’s updated. Oh and the shower barely spit---(yes spit out not sprayed) water and the water temp was very temperamental. I have nothing good to say about this place other than its close to the beach and you can park there. If I could give this negative stars I would!!!

We stopped, did not have a reservation and after staying there, would not make a reservation. The musty smell in the room, as mentioned in the only other review in 2010 is still there. Refreshing and refurbishing of the room has still not be done. A little refrigerator (coming out of the 50s) that you have to pull in the middle in the room in order to plug in, still no phone, no kleenex, no coffee maker and not even an alarm clock. They had TV trays which was a first for me. They have a pool but no shampoo in the room. The floor is not leveled so your bed being slanted does not supply a good rest. It is just across the street from the beach, walking distance from the pier, the shops and good restaurants. If you do stay there, make sure you turn your dead bolt to lock your room because staff might just plainly walk in on you. The lights were on, our bike was parked right in front on the room, and by what it seems in the early morning when we left, only two rooms had been rented that night, still one of the staff took a key and just opened our door and started to come in as I yelled: "Hey!" she stumbled, said sorry and walked out. Weird and spooky! Certainly not a reassuring feeling, what if we hadn't been there, would she have gone through our things??!! Urgh!!!!! Look around, lots of other nice places to stay.

I dont know why this motel is not more popular in OOB!! I went to OOB probably 25 to 30 times in my life and it was my first time at the executive. This motel is clean, well maintained, has a very nice pool and has the best location at less than 5 minutes of walking from the pier and downtown! I’ll be back for sure!! The staff is very helpful.

The owners were so accommodating to us in every way. We had to cancel a room due to a health issue and they were great about it. The cleaning staff were amazing. It's a short walk to the ocean and the strip. We had a great time and are hoping to go again after Labor Day.

We stayed at the executive Motel on July 5th & 6th. It's a short walk to the Pier, but located far enough from the noise/activity. Across the street is access to the beach. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Rooms have a mini fridge and coffee is available in the front lobby from 8am-10am. Outdoor pool was very clean. Staff was very friendly! They have a bbq grill in the back you can use and a swing set area for kids. There is a convenience store close by. We took the train, so we had no car, but did not need it to get around. Beach was clean, nice waves and no rocks. Tones of places to eat in or take out. Best was Tequila Frogs breakfast buffet for $7.99. They also have Coronaritas. A great Huge Margarita with a twist! A must have!
