I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I visited the spa while in Ubud. It was FANTASTIC! I had a foot soak, massage, body scrub, and flower soak. The area is so scenic and the service was incredible. Highly recommend! You can also lay by the pool and eat at the restaurant before or after your services.

There are not enough accolades to express the huge enthusiasm and joy I felt after my recent ten day detox experience at Five Elements Retreat. The grounds, set by the calming water rapids of the Ayung River, are nothing short of spectacular. Truly it’s how I would imagine The Garden of Eden to look like with its lush greenery, tropical flowers, water features and Balinese statues. A constant calming treat for the eye and ear. The accommodations were high end deluxe with our private pool, view of River, outdoor shower, huge bathtub and enormous comfortable mosquito netted bed. Housekeeping was always impeccable. As was every element of service provided by each and every one of the warm, friendly and caring staff on their team. The cuisine was 100 percent vegan with many creative, tasty and well presented dishes. It’s a good introduction to the vegan lifestyle. Our cooking classes with the head chef were enlightening and fun (but with all due respect, I was not converted to becoming vegan in the real world!) Finally, the health and healing services offered were truly top of the line- as good as- if not better than the most famous spas in the world I have visited. Only locally made natural creams and lotions are used during treatments. For me the real highlight was the water healing session (beyond amazing) but all the others were excellent too. The healing staff were all top of the line. Always ending up relaxed and refreshed. Special thanks to Keetut for her constant kindness, eagerness and helpfulness to refine and define our specific activities and sessions during the stay. I can not recommend Five Elements highly enough either for an extended retreat or a short hotel stay. What a paradise!!! I hated to leave.

I stayed at Five Elements Retreat in December travelling by myself. The staff were fabulous the manager is great. LOVED my room with private pool. Yoga classes in the most beautiful shala I have seen. Very relaxing and a great place to get away from everything. The vegetarian food is was great and you will definitely not go hungry, and even if you aren’t vegan you will find food on the menu to satisfy. A bit of a distance to UBUD but it’s easy and accessible by shuttle and if you want to go out late it’s very cheap and easy to get a taxi back.

This retreat is just too overall beautiful to put into words. So I shall only try. Absolutely everything is perfect. First of all everyone has a smile and wants to make you feel welcome - wherever you go, restaurant, Yoga, reception, spa, room service; everyone has a smile, kind words and knowledge. The room with hillside view and plunge pool was a generous size, spotlessly clean. The architecture overall is inspirational. The setting on the river stunning with lovely grounds well tended to. The vegan food beautiful presented and really yummy (you talk to a real carnivore here). The massage with flowerbath the best I had. The pool has good size and right above the river. The floating breakfast a real experience. Afternoon tea a delight. River picnic so cute. I'm bound to have forgotten something but I will be back to help me remember 😊. The relaxation I took with me is absolutely priceless. Thank you all so much. 🙏

I had a fantastic time staying at 5 Elements. The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed. I have a keen eye for the cleanliness and comfort of a bed, and I must say that my sleep here was impeccable; I have no complaints whatsoever. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, and the sheets were not only clean but also of excellent quality. The ambiance, the lush plantation surroundings, and everything else about the place were simply beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. I also had the chance to try their yoga classes, which were incredibly relaxing, and the yoga shala was beautifully designed. Even though I'm not a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious vegan dishes on their menu. I must admit that I didn't expect the culinary experience to be this good. My personal favorites were the mushroom noodles, tempeh teriyaki salad, and banana spring rolls. All in all, my experience staying here was absolutely wonderful, and I am definitely looking forward to returning in the future.

For a big birthday, I decided to stay at Fivelements not only for the beautiful property but also because I wanted to do a fire ceremony, and was having trouble finding how to plan one around Ubud. Well, the experience blew me away, it was incredibly special and I have the amazing staff there to thank for that. On top of that, the properly is just special. It has a peaceful, serene, healing energy that you feel the moment you step onto to the property. We were lucky enough to stay in a room with a babbling brook nearby, which helped to put me into a deep sleep every night. The food really stood out for me. It's vegan-focused and healthy, yet still filling. Do yourself a favor and try the jackfish tacos, the poke bowl, the beetroot burger, all the desserts though the mocha semifreddo was my favorite. If you take a stroll through their garden, you'll see the fruits and veggies that are used in the meals --it's truly farm to table. One morning I saw eggplants growing and that evening ate them in my meal. The staff is standout. They are incredibly responsive with any issues or needs, always have smiles on their faces and genuinely seem happy to be there. Our stay exceeded my expectations. One thing to note is that it's not in Ubud central at all - it's about 20 minutes away from city center so just note that if you're planning to be off the property or doing a lot of touring. We went to a nearby waterfall and then had dinner in Ubud one night. The hotel can set up cabs for you, or you can easily get a scooter or taxi if you download the Grab app. Oh! and don't forget to try yoga in one of their gorgeous studios in the morning. They also have a nice gym, and the pool has to be seen to be believed. It also overlooks the brook and makes you wonder how you stumbled upon such a paradise. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I got married at Fivelements in March and it was a truly wonderful experience. Ketut organized everything brilliantly and the day was perfect. The staff here are so happy and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms were so decadent with nature surrounding us and we had some spa treatments which were amazing! The food is the best that we have ever had and we cannot wait to return!

From start to finish this place was a dream. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. Not only does it feel like a luxury experience but it also has great options for retreat activities. I stayed one night but was able to fit in morning yoga (the instructor was fantastic and was one of the best classes I've taken), their signature massage, a chakra cleansing, a fire blessing ceremony with a local priest and a culinary class with the chef of their plant based restaurant. Having had the cooking class, I came to appreciate even more the detail and intention the cooking staff places on every meal at the restaurant. Overall, all of the staff was very welcoming and friendly, and in a way you feel like you're at "home." The room was immaculate and someone came with me at check in to explain every detail of the amenities and guest offerings (I've not come across a place yet that's done that in such detail). This place is truly something special and I can't wait to go back.
