I stayed here with my mom for a local wedding and this was the perfect spot! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We actually want to take a bed home! Haha :) there’s also an “annex” nearby with a full kitchen and complimentary Keurig. Each room has a mini fridge and microwave (not all hotel rooms have this!). Our stay was quiet, clean, and very comfortable and we would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone needing to stay in the Bethel area. Thanks Mark and Julie!
Conveniently located off of U.S. 2, this motel has what you need for a fair price. While it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, there are many supermarkets, gas stations, and restaurants that are located 40 minutes or less from this motel. The room is clean and neat. It captures the aesthetic of Western Maine. The room is modernized with a refrigerator, television, and microwave. Go to the communal kitchen and have some coffee 24/7. Picnic tables are available on the front lawn. Back up to your room to easily unload your vehicle. Sit outside on the bench, and gaze at the woods. What’s not to like? This is a great place for an overnight stay.
We really liked this place. It was super clean, and the couple who run the place were really nice. For a small, mom & pop motel, they've done a super job of upgrading features in the room. It's location, at around 10 minutes from Sunday River is convenient, too. We loved the fully-equipped kitchen facilities in the annex to cook our dinner, as well. There was an in-room microwave and fridge that we took advantage of, too. We've stayed at Sunday River's Grand Summit and Jordan Hotels at times. While we have no complaints about staying on-property, the cost (at 2 - 2.5 times the price of the West Bethel Motel) sometimes seems extravagant, depending on our needs. The West Bethel Motel is really nice, particularly for a one-night mid-week excursion to the mountain. We'll definitely be back next season!…
We had a room in the annex, it was a bright, very clean room! We were right across from the kitchen where you can cook your own meal if you chose to do so. Keurig fir morning coffee, or anytime since it is always open. We never heard a sound with people coming and going. The room was extremely clean, no worries staying here. Thank you for a great nights sleep in the peace and quiet
I have stayed here twice in the past five years and have been satisfied with the accomodations both times. It's not the Holiday Inn or even the Days Inn. You get no free breakfast or gym. But if you want convenience to Bethel, Gould Academy, Sunday River and Mt Abram ski areas, this is a reasonably priced alternative to all the other rather pricey lodges, B&Bs, hotels, etc. Staff is very friendly and cooperative.
