Great place for an inexpensive family dinner, lively atmosphere, good selection of draft beers, lots of parking, plus parking on Main Street also, games machine for the kids, and the adults, we go here at least once each time we visit bethel

When I first went to our room, I thought maybe I should make a map to find the way back to the lobby. The building is historic and winds around. The room was large, very clean and quiet, except for a nearby train which passed a couple of times. (Not a big deal.) Breakfast is included in a very nice dining area. We had French toast and an omelette, both of which were excellent. The only drawback was we had to go to the lobby to get internet access. If we were in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here one week on a motorcycle ride. It's an old building so the rooms show it. Owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Having the onsite restaurant for breakfast was great as was the tavern in the basement.

The Inn was nice with a restaurant though it was only open on Fri & Sat. Food was good. Stay included a complete hot breakfast each morning which was basically whatever you wanted on the breakfast menu. Also the Tavern downstairs was nice with atmosphere and good food too. Only complaint was the condition of the room we had in the Carriage House. The steps to it where very steep and each was higher than normal steps (about 10 inches each and about 14 total steps) which we were not told about when reservation made. Wasn't much room to enter at base of stairs either. There was peeling paint or wallpaper on the walls, ceiling showed various cracks, shower was very small, mattress sagged towards the middle and bathroom sink was so old it had two separate fawcets - one for hot & one for cold. TV was a old CRT Tube type, 19 inch, with the CRT going out as the corners of the screen showed only purple or green color. Room cost was about $89/night for 4 nights. I might stay there again but would not stay in the Carriage House. I would stay in the main building. Pics online do not represent true condition of Carriage House room. Wi Fi only worked in the main building and not in Carriage House.

Needed just one night and for the price this place fit the bill. Rooms are a little dated and the bathrooms are small, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and breakfast was very good. Authentic pub downstairs and the bartender will make just about anything if he has the ingredients. Convenient to shops and Bethel is a nice town to walk around in.
