Property is old but clean. Personnel are very courteous and helpful. Walkways, stairways need some sweeping/cleaning. Everywhere is showing signs of aging; but I emphasize it is clean. A good deal.
Mango Calypso Band stayed at this hotel, on the way back from the Texas International Boat Show, This place is great, I must say, this la quinta was the very best i have ever stayed at. Very fast internet..Easy access to I-10 Highway..COOOOL Edward Meadows , room 117, 4/30/07
I stayed at this hotel earlier in August, 2005, and I pretty much liked it. The rooms have more amenities than you would imagine getting for $55/night -- recliner, bathing tub, free wireless internet. I particularly liked sitting out in the courtyard and reading a book. The staff is as friendly and helpful as they can get. A few hours after checking in, the girl at the front -- I believe her name was Sherry -- called to check if everything was alright. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, but you better hurry up, they are very punctual with breakfast hours. Overall, the place is nice and I got more than money's worth. The reason I didn't give it a 5-star is because there's no indoor corridor, and it made me feel as a in a cheap motel. But once I got over that, I enjoyed…
Travelers beware. The staff were not friendly, room had fowl odor, and toilet did not flush properly.
Nicely maintained rooms, spacious, all basic comforts were given. Very good lobby and decent breakfast. The have a nice big pool, couldn't use it in my stay, but seemed to be well aken care of.
