We booked two rooms for a one night stay traveling through Louisiana. We arrived and the desk clerk was very nice. We drove around to get to our room and there were prostitutes in the parking lot even though a police officer was sitting in the back of the parking lot. My children went to their room and I went to mine. Within minutes my children text me a picture of roaches crawling on the walls, my daughters bed sheets had cigarette burns and my sons sheets had a huge blood stain in the middle along with the door lock not locking. I took a picture in my room where there was what appeared to be semen all over the sheets at the top and under the pillows. The sink had spit still in it and the room right near mine had about a bunch of individuals hanging out in the walkway smoking…
I would give this no stars if it were an option. The place is filthy and I felt unsafe staying there though they did have a policy officer guard the place until 4:00 a.m. There are quite a few people renting rooms by the week and mulling about so this is not a traditional hotel or of the quality of other La Quinta or Wyndham properties. So if you want a cheep place to stay that is animal friendly stay here - otherwise find another hotel.
This is an older property, but it's being kept in pretty good condition. The room was comfortable, the A/C worked well, (and quietly), the beds were comfortable, the only problem was the bath didn't drain quickly, so there was standing water while taking a shower. The price is very reasonable, and it's within 30 minutes of downtown New Orleans, at considerably less cost than NOLA itself. There are numerous restaurants in the area, some are excellent, at excellent prices. The free breakfast could use an update, but then again, there are a number of breakfast places nearby. Would stay here again.
Roaches in the room just nasty had a roach crawling in the bed with me not enough towels. Run as fast as you can only good thing was good wifi and the front desk people are friendly the room had old hair in the bathroom
Was greeted by two very nice desk staff who quickly got our room(s) in order as there were 4 of us in the group. The place was spotless, rooms clean, fresh smelling sheets & towels and pure white, comfy king size bed. good breakfasts. A light bulb burned out and they were there to fix within about 1/2 hour. A great place. TV's work well, fridge/microwave combo works well, very nice soft water for hot showers. Exactly what you want when staying for a period of time . A great price and close to everything. Staff was always smiling and polite. A real treat. We have stayed in luxury hotels with horrible service, food and bugs so this was a nice change. We will be back.
