We stayed April 24-25. Anytime we came to the New Orleans area this was our “go to” hotel. After this stay, we won’t be coming back. It is an older hotel, but has always been clean and a pleasant place to stay - but it have steeply declined since our last stay. The room smelled clean, but there was splatters and drips of something on the wall and baseboard behind the bathroom door and the bedding was stained as well as a dripping tub faucet. The outside paint, landscaping, and cleanliness has declined immensely. We were charged a $10 pet fee, which we had never been before and the Wyndham website still show’s pets at no additional charge. The pet area was dirty, trashy, smelled and the poop bag dispenser was empty and the trash can for the poop was over full with garbage. There were some unsavory people hanging around that looked almost homeless and on drugs/alcohol including a barefoot man stumbling along the upper walkway dribbling a beverage all along the cement. The next day it still not cleaned up although the cleaning staff rolled their carts right through it. It no longer feels like a safe place to stay. I am sad to say we won’t stay again. It is really too bad this property has declined so much.…
Stayed here before a couple of years ago and although it was older, it was cared for and clean. Not so this time, very dirty rooms and drunken, drugged people stumbling around the grounds. This place needs a complete refit. Don’t recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area.
Room was filthy horrible stained carpets discolored tile bathroom was bad plus no hot water. Needs more security people just wandering the walkways smoking and hanging out outside my room till late. Stay away.
We spent 20 minutes here before booking a room elsewhere. Dog SSHHIITT on the sidewalk outside the room. People hanging out in cars partying. Several people looked like they were in dire need of another fix!!! Loose dogs were about. Junk was laying around the parking lot. We felt very unsafe here. . . . . DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Wouldn't given excellent rating but the toilet was extremely short (shortest I've ever seen) about 12" tall. I'm a 5'10"- 250lb man and I found it very uncomfortable and difficult to use. My wife was ok with it but she's only 4'11" 110lbs (perfect for her I guess). The staff was great though and the rooms were clean.
