A nice place to calm down. No stress no worries. Great food lovely service and staff. The rooms are not like a star hotel. But you don't need it here. I love it here. The town is small and calm. Everybody is helpfull and walks around with a smile.

Pros: very Attentive staff, excellent cuisine, rustic ambience, good beer selection, nice choice of local artists Other comments: don't expect a pool with transparent water. It'll have some leafs and a bit of dust.

our room was rather run down and the couch smelled of cat urine (thankfully this was not true of the bed!). there was no shower door or curtain and the floor got quite wet despite our efforts to keep the water in the stall. the toilet did not flush well. the food in the restaurant was very good the first night and totally different (despite ordering many of the same items) and not as good the second night. breakfasts were excellent. the ambience was very pleasant and the staff super friendly. it is well situated and we enjoyed the little deck outside of our room and the birds that came to the flowers here. there are other pousadas in town that are likely a better value but this was very pleasant.

Pousada Casa das Flores is a true gem tucked away in the far-away Vila de Sao Jorge. They have several types of accomodation. We stayed in the aircon room, which was simple with no frills whatsoever, but clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was very friendly. The owner is always around and very approachable. Every Friday they have live music, it's always the same guy that comes to sing there (I forget his name) and he is absolutely amazing. Regarding Vila de Sao Jorge: This is a town with no traffic lights and no paved roads. It is a town that was build around mining, and once that was prohibited, they recently turned to tourism. The town has a population of about 600, no hospital, and just a few shops, bars, restaurants, and quite a few "pousadas" (bed and breakfast). Although this is a very quaint and charming little town, it is in the middle of nowhere and there is not much to do in the town itself. Go there if you are looking for some peaceful days to relax and explore the nature around it.

If you really want to see Goias, Brazil, this is high on the list of places to stay. Only for a couple of nights as a base, but it is truly spectacular. The local village is so small that at night the sky is awash with thousands of stars, during the day there are loads of places to visit including remote plunge pools, waterfalls, etc. The hotel is basic so don’t go expecting 5 star luxury, it is however absolutely idyllic and the staff are charming!

My husband and I went to Pousada Casa das Flores for the Easter holiday with our family. As a young couple we stayed in a different room from the rest of the family. Our room was very desapointing... Very old, lots of ants, very bad matress (old and too tick for 2 people), the bathroom gets entirely wet when you take shower. And after all... the room was very dark and hot with only a vent. The rest of the family stayed at a nice room, with air conditioner, queen size bad, so... they enjoy their room and their stay. So: I wouldn't stay if you're not able to book the best room! Good points: Good restaurant with good prices, nice pool area, and the spa has interesting treatments. Great breakfeast. The towels and sheets are very clean. PS.: Looks better on the website then when you are there....

This pousada offers more than a pousada uses to offer. It's a quiet place, very charming, cozy and relaxing, but simple and rustic. The rooms are big and cozy and have only lamp lights. The bed is fine and the bed linen is clean and comfort. The windows view inspire peace and calmness. A great, healthy and delicious breakfast is served in the room's balcony. The staff is nice. You can choose to listen to a collection of LP in an old player. The bad points are the bathroom and the cleanness of the common area, like the swimming pool. The sauna doesn't properly work. I didn't like the prices of the hotel and of the SPA. Unfortunately Brazil's rates are always more expensive than what is offered.
