Rooms are remodel and nice. Checking in was a headache due too construction. Need to invest in elevator. It was nice room and fairly clean. It's a value for the buck. If they invest in staffing and money will be a competitor in their location.
We were a bit apprehensive because of the 3 star review view but when I heard it was under remodel and for a lower price by $50 than another la quinta we took a chance. As stated in other reviews, the front desk area was under complete construction leaving the poor employee sitting at a makeshift desk with her computer. Besides that we were absolutely pleased with the brand new rooms that have all the amenities, all the latest lighting latest samsung television and the beds were absolutely Fantastic. We were very pleased with this stay. I highly recommend the hotel. Also cracker barrel is just out side the door!
On January 6, 2022, I was at a doctor's appointment in Lexington when a major snow storm hit My son-in-law called to warn me that I-75, my route home, was blocked due to the snow. After having coffee and coffee at McDonalds, I called in a reservation for the La Quinta Inn, which was near by. I had to fight some tough roads, but I did check in and spent the night, 20 miles from home.. Many others did too. The desk staff did a great job in help many travelers The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Alert. If you call their reservation line for this motel, double or triple check the address as I gave the exit number and yet I was place in a different La Quinta. Luckily they still had a room for me, but I PAID for TWO rooms. But that did not cool my appreciation for the property at 1920 Stanton Way.…
The room itself was modern and nice ! However, there is remodeling going on in the front desk/breakfast area. Pardon the dust and look for a "breakfast option" elsewhere. Hopefully the remodeling will be short lived.
Lobby was basically no longer there in remodeling process and breakfast was given in a sack with very minimal choices. Should have been disclosed the condition of this hotel at booking time. The room was remodeled and OK.
I would have selected another motel in the "chain" if I had known about the construction.I prefer not to write 200 minimum characters (as instructed) just to be done with this review. My major issue is a very poor bag breeakfast along with no preknowledge of the constrution issue.
Beautiful hotel remodeling. CLEAN. New room, wood floors NOT carpet. New pillow top mattress. Nice design Kentucky race horse theme. New sheets and blankets. Full shower, NO tub. NO breakfast room. Lobby under construction. Grab and Go breakfast: clementines, bananas, granola bars, danish, oatmeal with bowl and spoon, orange juice, apple juice. Coffee made in room. Will stay here again on annual trip north.
The floors looked as if they had not been swept since the last guest, the desk had sticky food substance all over it. The pillows were inadequate. The walls and woodwork were filthy. The best part was the bathroom.
I booked this hotel online and there was nothing said about it being under renovation. It was very obvious as soon as I walked into the lobby with zippered plastic surrounding the hall way and a blur of dust beyond that. Stephanie the reservationist was very friendly and helpful and she assured me that the room was up to standards. The first room was filled with heavy cigarette or cigar smoke and it was absolutely inhabitable. She quickly gave us another room and it was clean and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was light and very pedestrian, however I would stay here again. I’d stay here again.
A moderately priced place that allows pets. The hotel was underconstruction so the lobby had to be accessed by going outside. Fortunately, there was no inclement weather. The breakfast was dry cereal and juice. We opted just for coffee. There has been a fair amount of updating in the rooms that was appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and there was a nice arm chair. Happy to have a microwave and refrigerator. There was a problem with the window. A space about 1/4 inch was open to the outside.
