This is a pretty sad hotel. Nobody came to our room to clean for the last two days of our four day visit. There was no safe in our room, and not even a bedside drawer for our valuables - just a shelf. The electric sockets are located all over the room, except at bedside, so it's inconvenient to plug in a cellphone. The bathroom sink isn't in the bathroom, so you have to exit after using the facility to wash your hands, and the bathroom light is about half the brightness it should be. The closet door doesnt close properly. They advertise an on-site dining room, but on arrival they informed us that they serve only a limited breakfast, at additional charge. You could do better.
Comfortable, clean, and convenient. I would recommend this place for a traveler, and we had two kids who slept comfortably. The bed was comfortable, and several nearby restaurants that weren't just chains.
We’ve stayed before but it was awhile ago. Feels very cheap and not well kept this time around. Main entrance looks nice but hallway dingy and dark. Only 2 towels, no microwave, fridge wouldn’t get cold, no sheets or pillows for the pull out. Bathroom tile had mold on the caulking, needs replaced. Overall wouldn’t stay again
The location is great with easy access to the highway and close to many amenities. restaurant verities abound. Plenty of Stop by Keenland and watch the ponies race or hit the Horse Park and learn some history.
We were very disappointed in this particular Hyatt Hotel. We reserved 3 nights and scheduled daily housekeeping on-line, as prompted by Hyatt's website. However, after our first very busy day and evening return to the hotel, we were shocked to find housekeeping did not service our room--only 1 mini bar of soap had to be broken in two so that we could have a piece in the sink area and shower. We reported the issue to Ximena, Front Desk Clerk, the next morning and she assured us housekeeping was scheduled to clean our room and supply toiletries the next day. When we returned the second day, NO housekeeping again and NO toiletries, again; although on our way out in the morning, a member of housekeeping was working a few doors away from our room but she never came to ours. On our third night, I called the Front Desk to complain and ask why NO housekeeping? I was told someone would be right up. Within minutes Vanessa and James were at our door with toilet tissue, soap, towels and garbage bags! I asked who the Manager was working that night and she responded, Justin. I then reported the NO SHOW housekeeping for 3 days and the lack of toiletries, etc. Twice we had to request basic toiletries! He listened and said he would see if he could have a couple thousand points added to my Hyatt account. We have never experienced such lack of support at any Hyatt and total ignore of our on-line housekeeping scheduling and face-to-face request for housekeeping. …
