We loved our stay at Nqabara eco lodge so much that we had to extend it. Excellent service from all, beautiful views, unspoilt beaches and birds everywhere! The chalet was breezy with huge windows opening up to the ocean, there was plenty of solar power to charge our devices and it was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook delicious meals and braai on the balcony. Massive thanks to Pierre who was there to offer advice on activities with a friendly smile and his fantastic company. And to Tim for organising our stay. We have wowed to return!

This was our second trip to Nqabara and we loved it as much as the first time. The lodge itself is extremely comfortable. The aesthetic is pared/down minimalist but has everything you need and the view from the wrap around porch is just magical. The only caveat is that the hike down to the beach can be tricky after it rains (muddy/slippery) so would caution anyone with mobility difficulties that this may not be practical for you. When it is dry a 4x4 vehicle can make it down to the beach.

We went to Nqabara for a guys fly fishing trip. The accommodation and service were great. The scenery and environment is breathtaking. Pierre is a very patient and attentive host and fishing guide. Unfortunately the fish didn’t play along! I will definitely be back again.

The landscape is so diverse - from riverine to estuarine, from rocky shore to beach, then there are the grasslands and the forests and even mangroves! The bird life is amazing too. I loved my stay and the staff were so kind and hospitable. Certainly worth another visit.

Couldn’t have asked for a more idyllic location to unwind. The resident guide and manager, Pierre was always ready to assist and advise, whilst the local staff were equally friendly and helpful. The fishing was a bit off - managed to land 1 decent grunted, but the pure natural beauty of the place made up for it. If I had to make 1 suggestion it would be to improve the path down to the beach. We will most certainly return one fine day
