We swapped a week at our 30+ year time-share in VT for this resort. My guess is that it was a fair swap. Not as many activities as other time-shares, but not an issue. Grand Lake Resort appears to be a modified hotel from the road but once inside you are pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The balconies are a plus and a beautiful view of the lake. The stay at the Town Center was nice plenty of supplies in the room everything worked expecially the ac very much needed in July.Spacious villas, many amenities, they have mostly everything you need inside the resort. Near to Animal Kingdom, many stores and restaurants. An excellent resort. My family and I stay for a 2nd time last December.

Excellent
Le Citron Galet fut notre dernier point de chute lors de notre premier voyage à la Réunion en 2016. Notre agence de voyage nous y avait réservé une chambre puisque l'hôtel qui nous avait préalablement été proposé affichait complet. Et nous n'avons pas eu de regret. L'endroit est magnifique, les chambres très confortables, la nourriture très bonne, et les hôtes et leurs enfants sont adorables. On se sent en famille, le tutoiement est de rigueur, ici pas de chichis. Nous y sommes retournés en 2018, avec des amis qui eux aussi ont été conquis. Et nous y retournerons sans hésitations et toujours avec grand plaisir lors d'une prochaine virée sur l'Ile Intense. Régine, Bernard, un grand merci pour votre accueil qui est parfait à chaque fois, grosses bises.

Eine Enttäuschung
Die Gastfreundschaft lässt zu wünschen übrig. Zuerst gab es Verhaltensmassregeln, dann wurde unsere Frage nach Nachtessen für mindestens 2 Tage verneint. Am 3. Nachmittag stand ein Festzelt vor unserem Bungalow ohne uns je etwas gesagt zu haben wurde ein Familienfest abgehalten. Auf unsere Reklamation bekamen wir die Antwort, dass sie uns gesagt habe, dass sie auch "table d'hôtes" mache und das ihr "Geschäft" sei. Bei diesem Fest pisste sogar einer der Gäste in die Wiese vor dem Bungalow. Wir haben 4 Nächte gebucht, sind nach 3 verreist, natürlich ohne Preisnachlass. Die Zimmer sind schön dekoriert, jedoch sehr klein, einzig die Dusche ist sehr schön. Aussicht hat man, wenn nicht gerade ein Festzelt aufgestellt wird. Jedoch die Sitzgelegenheit auf dem Balkon lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist nicht ideal, viel zu weit weg von Restaurants und Stadt. Das Zimmer wurde nicht einmal gemacht, das Morgenessen wurde jeden Tag schlechter, am 3. Tag gab es nur noch ausgetrocknete Bagettes und einen Kaffee.…

Un petit coin de Réunion, de petites maison individuelles, toutes belles et très propres, Régine et Bernard, sont des hôtes absolument charmant, qui vous apprennent, plein de choses sur les coutumes des différentes communautés de l' île, une belles vue sur l'océan, un endroit très calme car éloigné de la route principale.Une belle salle de bains, et une chambre bien confortable, merci à eux.
