It is an extremely beautiful location. The holiday homes (for 2 people) are on 2 floors, with a living and kitchen area downstairs, a small bedroom upstairs with no storage space (e.g. bedside table or chair), and next to it a small bathroom where you can't be overly plump, otherwise you won't be able to get to the toilet.

We had the first evening meal included. The taste and selection of food was good. The second evening was "Mexican evening". It was advertised as 32€, then a notice at reception said 32.90€ and we paid 35€ at the table. When we asked why it was more expensive than advertised, we were told that it was now 35€ according to the instructions of the supervisor. In terms of taste, this meal was not as good as on the first evening.

In the basement of the main building (the former hunting lodge of Erich Honnecker) there is a beautiful swimming pool and a sauna, but using them costs €15 per person, which we thought was a bit excessive.

Even almost 2 months after our "dream wedding", it is almost impossible for us to put these magnificent days into appropriate words. I got to know the location back in 2015 as part of my work as a DJ and fell in love straight away. If I had to guess, it would be here!
And so it happened. In July 2023, my wife and I said "I do" at the Drewitz Nature Resort over several wonderful days with family and a few friends.
Thanks to the relaxed and informal discussions with Julia Göhrke (deputy property manager), most of the property-related preparations went by without a hitch. We gave tips, wishes and comments along the way and received suggestions and information on decoration, procedures and catering in return. Julia also took care of planning the overnight stays and organizing the wedding ceremony on the beach.
It was important to us to have absolutely everything in one place without anyone having to drive the car during the days of the stay. And that is exactly what the property is tailor-made for. As an outpost of the Malchow registry office, the wedding ceremony was performed on the beach, and the evening celebration in the boathouse less than 100 meters away. Thanks to the restaurant, "holiday village", playgrounds, animal enclosures, mini golf, bathing beach and much more, including the tennis court and indoor pool, everything has been thought of for a longer stay, even with children. There is much more to discover, but it would be too much to list here. Julia and her team made each of our almost 80 guests feel at home from long before the first check-in to the last check-out and were flexible in responding to even the smallest request. We would like to thank them again on behalf of and on behalf of them.
In general, we did not have a second reason to doubt. Even now, tears of joy are in our eyes as we write these lines. The service staff (Nathalie and Nazar) on the evening of the celebration deserve special mention. With a pleasant calmness and professionalism, you blended seamlessly into the hospitable atmosphere with wit and charm and contributed significantly to the success of the celebration. The service in general is simply exemplary throughout the entire property. The building services, caretakers and cleaning staff are no exception. No matter where and when you meet the staff on the premises, everyone is friendly and courteous.
We spent a total of 6 days on the premises, including the celebration, and look back enthusiastically on the impressions and experiences in the midst of the fantastic nature and lovingly maintained grounds. Finally, we would like to give our absolute recommendation when it comes to arranging celebrations or simply taking a vacation to switch off.
Special occasions require special surroundings!
We have found one just like that, or you have found us ;-)
Dear Julia, dear team:
Please keep doing what you do and fulfill many more dreams with the warmth that you did for us.
With deepest gratitude,
Melanie & Oliver Lieder

Located in the middle of the forest directly on the lake with fresh air guarantee - from the van der Valk chain. Individual cottages of different sizes and equipment. We had a medium size with 60sqm for 250 euros incl. Fireplace (wood is used gg. Euro provided), with half board 250 would have been added. Shopping nearby available, accessible by car.
Here you can really relax in a short time and come down in square. All the houses are very clean, thanks to the busy cleaning column. Reception and restaurant are located in the main house, the restaurant chef is very proud to see in the photo. They eat very excellent there, the staff is courteous and polite. We thank you for this once again nice stay.

We didn't visit the hotel as guests, but as cyclists we went there in bright sunshine and 18° for a coffee.
Although there were only six guests in the interior, the incredibly unfriendly service told us the terrace was not occupied, and there was no service to be provided. More than sad I would say service absolutely inadequate. The outlook compensated, therefore two points for poor

Wow! That's what you say when you report to reception and see the lake.
Friendly welcome and good explanation of how and what.

What we already read in the reviews, the cottage could have been cleaner on arrival.
But cottage is in itself okay and fully equipped. Beds and mattresses also okay. Shower also excellent.
But still old carpeting on the first floor? You can't do that anymore!

Location top. Indeed remote but after all we come for the peace and nature.
We had a house on the edge of the forest so with 2 steps we stood with dog in the forest.

Pool neatly maintained, clean and tasty.
Restaurant limited menu and staff from Eastern Europe who did not speak good German. They also had changing chefs. Because if you ordered a schnitzel one night, it could be totally different (less) the next.

What was disappointing?
You can't do anything on the lake. It is forbidden to e.g. supping or surfing.
There are 4x rowing boats and 1x pedal boat that you can rent at cost.
On the website you see a kind of boathouse with riser and terraces where you can enjoy a snack and drink. So there was no more. Past glory.
Boathouse dilapidated and closed. Riser and terrace ditto.
And then the tennis court. It was old and dilapidated. It was a moss track with leaves. Not maintained in years. Very unfortunate!
The nearest supermarket is in Malchov (20 min drive).

Do we recommend this accommodation?
If your bar is not too high it is a blissful Resort with beautiful surroundings.
But if you are more critical, we recommend looking for something else.

The pillows were, in our opinion, far too soft, but we still slept very well. A van der Valk hotel to recommend.
The wonderful outdoor sauna in the forest. Where can you find something so beautiful? In Drewitz. Top and also the staff.

The apartment was modern but cozy. Everything very clean. Also the beds were comfortable. We really liked the fireplace and the booked fireplace wood package. Even wood wool and matches were thought of in it. Restaurant and breakfast buffet were very good. A holiday feeling far from villages and in the middle of the forest quickly set in. We will definitely come back.

This is an ideal place for a few days out. It is slightly remote, placed in the middle of a large forest on the edge of the Drewitzer See.

Although a 15 min drive through the forest is needed to get to the park, some interesting sights, like Rostock, Wismar and Warnemunde, are within reach. One could also hike in the forests and around the lake for days without getting bored.

The place has an history as hunting hideout of the former DDR-leader Erich Honecker. While wandering around the old fences surrounding the resort, it's not hard to imagine that guards patrolled here.

The resort doesn't offer a small supermarket but some can be found in nearby town or in the other nearby Van Der Valk Resort, which is massively bigger than the Drewitz resort and lacks the peace and quiteness.

Although the houses are quite good and we had really nothing to complain about, some improvements could be made by increasing the comfort of the resorts houses. For example ventilation could be made better and it should be possible to spread the heat from the stove more evenly through the house, not just upstairs. Also for the price asked a bath could be expected.

The breakfast offered is more than sufficient, like it can be expected. The restaurant offers a variety of (game) specialities. We dined every evening in the restaurant and it was excellent everytime.

My wife and I spent two nights at the resort in october 2011, and we had a very fine couple of days. The resort is located in the middle of a forest, and there is absolutely NOTHING else there. The nearest town is more than 10 kilometres away, so you must like the quietness and the serenity of the forest to appreciate the place. We liked it very much, but it is not for everyone.

The place itself is a bit worn down, but everything worked fine, and the staff was helpfull and provided excellent service. The minigolf course is unusable, the tennis court more or less the same, the kids club was small but ok, and the petting zoo is a joke. The houses and the restaurant is of good standard.

We liked the place, and we got the two days with all inclusive for an excellent price - but the resort need a bit of touching up.

We do not recommend this grey, sad, unfriendly, tired resort. Maybe it was different a few year´s ago, but we were very disappointed. We stay for over a week with our 3 adult children and found the living area extremely cramped. The weather wasn´t great, so we had hoped to relax indoors - not possible as there is not enough seats for 5 people unless you sit on a garden chair or dining room chair. Things kept falling apart and when we mentioned this, no apology was offered. Nothing was properly clean on arrival. The food was overpriced and nothing special. We should have done our homework, but it honestly feels like a GDR remnant and not a modern resort where one can relax with the family. Honecker´s ghost still haunts the property. The photos on Trip Advisor are several years old, but it was so depressing that we didn´t bother taking any new ones!

Ja hoor, geen problemen mee gehad. De huisjes liggen in het bos, vnl. dennen en sparren. Het was ook vrij droog.
