Excellent breakfast and weekend dinner. The food was so well done, and this place is truly a gem. It's very different than a lot of "resorts," but it was so beautiful and reclusive. The wildlife was great and the rooms were pretty good.

The hotel is fantastic and very peaceful. The mineral water that the hotel provides is one of the best in the world. The water temperature is very high and you find it all over the hotel. After swimming in the pool you feel revitalized and relax. You can go for a walk and find many different types of plants.... the landscape is magnificent and the food is delicious and very health.

We have stayed at many thermal waters hotels, and this one always gets us back. Alone for the temperature of the water, since I cannot stand those hot waters: this one has always been perfect for me, at least in the Summer. The hotel is getting older, maybe no Palace no more, but still enjoyable. The rates are very convenient, since they include breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee/tea and dinner. Regular wine table and beverages. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.

The quality of water, it properties, pH, temperature, clearness are the must! I feel renovated after a week. The food are included and very nice, with excellent quality and quantity! The hotel are not new, and need some investment, but, does'nt lost nothing in a general criteria I'll do recomend this Hotel.

I'm not though discouraging travelers from visiting the hotel, it has its merits but I'd no longer use the term palace as it might sound a bit luxurious, which is not at all. Maybe a few pros/cons will help new travelers choose whether to stick to it or not. PROS: The hotel has a privileged location, with extensive green areas and a great deal of leisure options. It's especially good for kids, the hotel has entertainers and activities for the youth and the adult. The staff was attentive at all times, I wouldn't have to ask for something, their responsiveness it's something to be counted on. Having said that, I'd amend that they are not quite prepared to help English speakers - but you may as well take as an opportunity to practice your Portuguese listening. =) The restaurant buffet has many options and the overall quality it's not questionable. I missed vegetarian dishes though, so I suggest that if you are expecting the same as I was you better ask in advance. Having talked to the manager a few hours before lunch time, I got more options. CONS: Rooms are a bit old, I'd suggest them to refurbish and have a look at some leakage problems. In the morning (peak hours?) there was a hot water shortage in shower. In my opinion it's a severe fault in the winter. The manager said that the boiler reached its capacity, which is technically justified but not acceptable. Wireless internet is rubbish. I wasn't particularly in the need of, but it will certainly disappoint you if it's a mandatory item. Just don't rely on it. From what you get and comparing with alternatives in the region, I believe it's a bit overpriced.
