I was so disappointed, it all didn't look professional, the bathroom towels were not changed unless you request so, we stayed there for 4 nights but the bedding was never changed, so on so on, the list is endless.

A family group of five stayed here whilst visiting the nearby Pilanesberg Reserve. It's a Guest House in a township, so it isn't five-star luxury. However it's modern, clean and we were looked after very well. We arrived during the evening, and took coals and food to bbq. Our hostess produced a kettle bbq, cleaned it for us, and we used the roof top area over reception. We were provided with folding garden chairs, glasses, plates and cutlery, and had a great time relaxing and watching the lightning storm on the horizon. The bed was one of the biggest I've ever slept in, and the air con kept the room at a comfortable temperature.

The breakfast was well cooked and there was plenty of it. Our hostess (not the owner) was very attentive and eager to make us comfortable and welcome.

There are too many hard surfaces, and not enough soft furnishings to deaden the sound, so it's noisy and sound echoes around. The sliding gate isn't electrically operated, but we opened and closed it ourselves, not an issue. Once we were settled inside our hostess locked the gate so we were secure.

It's great value for money, but not luxury hotel standard. Note: they only take cash, so don't expect to pay by credit card.

We were 12 guys who were playing golf at Sun City. We spent two nights at ASDA. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. They allowed us to have a braai both evenings, and they did not complain about the noise we made. The breakfast was disorganized and not well served. We all ate, but there was not enough food set out and we had to request additional coffee, milk, eggs, etc. At the end of the weekend my brother and I remained behind and our families joined us. The morning we were told that they had made a double booking and they only had 3 of the 5 rooms we booked. They were able to make arrangements and secure accommodation at another guest house for us as we did not want to be split as a group. I would return to the guest house in the future, but hope they do not make the same fundamental mistakes.

I'm all for supporting the smaller BnB, especially in rural South Africa. But all too frequently (and this is a case in point) they just have no idea what they are doing. The problems started at the gate. No intercom, no call button. After hooting for a while I had to call them to tell them I was trying to get in. The staff were friendly, but once in the room, things got worse. The two bedside lights had no bulbs and there were no plugs for them. The shower wasn't working (something I was only told after I had unpacked). The plug for the bath didn't fit and so when I ran one, the water drained out. But the worst problem here was the NOISE!!! Very noisy barking dogs across the road continued non-stop throughout the night. When anyone opened a tap anywhere in the building, it sounded like a 747 was taking off. And voices carried through the tiled place as if they were right outside the door -- and there were plenty of them. I didn't try the TV. The only available 2 pin plug was hanging on a cord from the TV, so had to dangle my phone in the air to charge it. Breakfast happens in the reception / entrance area and the table is weirdly placed right in the middle of the room I was really, really happy to leave.

We stayed for a family weekend with visitors from the UK.
The guesthouse is very nice and modern, clean and spacious. Great views from the balcony terrace which is more than big enough for a group braai.
Secure parking inside the property.
AC in the bedrooms helps get a good sleep before the next day's safari.
Journey time to Manyane gate is 5-10 minutes easily.
Our host Magdalene was excellent, she was very attentive without being intrusive and very helpful.
We wanted to get into the park at gate opening and she got us a takeaway breakfast ready for 5:30 am.
I would definitely stay here again on a future Pilanesberg trip.
