Meridian Resort is a well run resort with a high level of cleaniness. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help with any queries. Rooms are comfortable and functional though not overly large (the room we had anyway) but plenty big enough for us. The rooms get cleaned daily. The included breakfast was nutritious and filling for the days activities and the wait staff very professional and friendly. The pool area is nice, few comfortable seats and right near the bar as well. Also have an outdoor area over looking the water. We did 4 dives with them and the dives are very well organised, the equipment is well maintained and the boats comfortable. The dives guides are professional, friendly and help spot all the interesting creatures to be found. The resort can help organise other activities as well although we used the local tourist office for a lot of our other activities.
The only downside we felt was the cost of food and drink at the onsite restaurant. We felt it was quite expensive compared to what you pay at a local eatery/restaurant in town. We walked into town every afternoon for our evening meal and paid 25/30 000 IDR for Nasi Goreng for example. It is about a 30/40 min walk into town or you could share a taxi if there is a group of you 100 000 for a taxi each way.
Otherwise we had a great stay and would recommend it. Totally professional. comfortable and well run.

Hi Maria, we were super happy to host you for your stay in Raja Ampat and we truly enjoyed showing you the underwater wonders in the area. We hope that you can come back again soon to see more. It gives us great joy that you also supported the restaurants in town and got to enjoy everything they have to offer - there is a great selection and they make amazing Purple Dragon Fruit Smoothies - hope you got to try one of those :)

I can honestly say this was the best diving holiday I have EVER had!
The staff truly went above and beyond to make you feel at home in the hotel, you just don't expect this level of service in these parts of Indonesia. The room was great - not that I spent that much time there, had the softest bedding and all the air-conditioning my sunburnt body could ask for. Food was unparalleled, and with quite a large variety to choose from, again you don't expect this sort of quality here so I was blown away!
Then comes the diving...you just can't believe your eyes! The reefs here are the healthiest, most abundant, pristine reefs and marine life I have ever seen! Everything down from the clean quality gear, the fast boats that took us to the dive sites and the wonderful guides, every excursion out to a reef was incredible. From tiny pygmy seahorses, colourful corals, nudibranchs galore to manta rays, dolphins and even some whales - I saw it all in a matter of days! And big shout out to Jo and the team for making it extra memorable!
If you're planning a trip to Indonesia, skip Bali and the Liveaboards with the mass tourist diving and sometimes questionable practices, rather come to this resort in Raja Ampat where the last paradise truly exists and you have all the comforts you could ask for in a clean and safe environment. Bonus: there's a pool on site, which makes for a great relaxing dip after a day full of diving and island explorations.

Upon arrival at Meridian Adventure Dive Resort, you can immediately feel the craft the owners put into the resort. The rooms are small, yet functional (you won't be in there for long as there is much to do above and below water). The staff was super helpful and not intrusive.
Best diving in the world, hands down! Thanks to JP, the dive instructor, who guided me through a PADI diving refresher course. What a man! The resort features areas perfect for end of the day relaxation, like the mangrove deck that I really enjoyed! The food and drinks can be pricy, but I was willing to pay for the luxury of drinking an ice cold beer after a full day of activities.
P.S Paddleboarding is a must!

Hotel Pros: Extremely clean, everything seems new, nice pool, impressive breakfast, Bobby a cool guy who works at reception.
Diving Pros: All the gear was in great shape, appears new and clean
Hotel Cons: Surprisingly small rooms, far from town, price,
Diving Cons: Disappointed in the guides. They used their pointer sticks on the soft coral! A huge no-no!. they were on autopilot taking out large groups and had a limited interest in providing a great dive.
Note: When weighting the price and how separate they are from the town of Waisai (3km) and considering how non-Indonesian it feels, I didn’t love my stay. If you want a safe, clean and easy place to stay before/after your liveaboard, this is your place. Hint. You can walk there from the Sorong ferry dock without going up to the main road. Just after the “Selamat Datang” arch, turn right on the really long, covered dock. It cuts across the marsh area and will cut the walk from 1.5 km to 300 meters.

We stayed at the Meridian Adventure Dive resort for 6 nights. The resort is quite nice, although the rooms are rather small considering the high price. The breakfasts start early allowing you time to eat before the morning dives. Breakfasts are large with good menu options and delicious. The prices of food and drinks at the resort is really high for Indonesia. Unfortunately, it rained part of the day for all 6 days that we were there but it was the rainy season so to be expected. We went on 16 dives while we were there. The dive equipment was excellent as were the dive masters and staff, which was why we had chosen this resort. They all did whatever they could to ensure you had amazing dive experiences. One of the dive masters, Kathy was wonderful, professional kind and caring. She was a wonderful welcome for us to the resort. The dive master with the crazy hair, sorry cannot remember his name, was also wonderful. He could spot the largest and smallest of marine life instantly. The corals and marine life were spectacular. We went to a different dive site on all 16 dives. We would definitely recommend this place.

Next time you can visit a different month. :) :) Most of all, we are elated to hear that you enjoyed your diving with us, we were happy to show you a different dive site each time for your 16 dives. Stayed here for nearly a week. Place is very modern and clean. The dives were incredible and the dive guides (mix of locals + westerners) were super awesome and helpful. Perfect balance of safety and fun and about 75% of the dive sites were mindblowing. Jo, JP, fritz, rania, and jana were all super helpful/knowledgeable of the dive sites and took care of me every step of the way. Rooms are modern and comfortable, perfect for a solo traveller or couple. Food at the restaurant/bar is all awesome - both the local and western food. Dove 4x a day here and loved every second of it. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Had an unbelievable time at Meridian Adventure Marina Club and Dive Resort.
The service provided was unbelievable.
The room was pretty good, clean, comfortable and easy to get to.
During my visit I was simply flabbergasted that the Painamo Star Lagoon and WTC Beach were so close by. And, it was easy to learn this thanks to the free wifi they provided as I ate breakfast(FOR FREE) looking at the pool.I was able to park my rental car at the resort(FOR FREE AS WELL), which was unbelievably convenient for being able to go to the Painamo Star Lagoon and WTC Beach.
As a side note for any aspiring linguists, it was great to know that I could practice my English and Indonesian on the staff that were fully literate in both!
Was absolutely unbelievable being there! 10/10 would go again!

This is an extremely professional dive operation, with excellent boats, new quality equipment and extremely knowledgeable (as well as friendly) dive instructors. Joanne runs the place very efficiently and always tries to accommodate requests for dive sites. The local dive guides show you all marine life, including the smallest and difficult to find critters since the know the sites so well. The service on the boat is pure pampering: you get water handed to you before gearing up, they bring defog for your mask and help you with the tank so you get into your BCD as easily as possible. Plus coffee or tea and delicious cakes are provided during the surface intervals which take place at very pretty spots. After the two-tank dive is done they will rinse and hang your equipment to dry - every single day. The sites we dove with them were incredible and a lot of them on the lists of best dive sites in Raja Ampat that you find online.
The rest of the resort is also very nice. The rooms are on the smaller side but they have a great pool and restaurant/bar area. The staff are all so nice and diligent - the only thing that could be improved is that the cocktails take a little long to be made. Reception helped us with our requests for taxis and for car+boat transport for our visit to the Blue River.
We are sad to leave this wonderful place and can only recommend it if you want to dive in Raja Ampat.

Meridian Adventure Dive is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort , do offer a wide variety of diving course packages from beginner to pro-level.
Meridian is very close to the port. I would guess only 2-3 minutes by car.
No coffee facilities in the rooms. Although coffee is available at the restaurant. Bring thermos cups with you. We got fresh coffee and tea to take on dives with us. They do supply on the dives but it’s dry roast coffee. Shops are not as they are in the West snd due to high temps and humidity you will find it hard to buy and keep milk fresh. Coffee around the area costs between 10k IDR and 30K IDR. Around 1 British pound.
