Hotel was absolutely lovely - so well designed/decorated - and sooooooo very clean!!! All of the staff were friendly, efficient and very professional. Want to send a special shout out to Enrique (one of the doormen) was so great - he was so helpful and his kindness and helpfulness was very genuine and impressive. He was right there the moment we needed him and offered solutions/options that improved our stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. From the bar tender to the hostess and even the bell hop every one was so kind and respectful. My family and I enjoyed their delicious dinner and breakfast (their fries are to die for). Next time I come to Chicago I’m staying here . Would stay again.

Room was awesome. Customer service was awesome. The room service was on point. Valet parking was very smooth. Didn't have to wait long. They made sure that you were comfortable at all times. The greeting was wonderful. They also give you 20% off your meals and complimentary drink.

I found Silversmith Hotel thanks to TripAdvisor, and it did not disappoint! Great value for what we got. Coming from NYC, I wasn't expecting a lot from a downtown city hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly - Beverly at the front desk helped us get a room early. Renee at the bar was professional and friendly. The housekeeper made sure our rooms were made and stocked every day. The two double beds room we got was a bit odd shaped but felt spacious, especially the bathroom. Even though we were near the elevator, we barely heard any noise. Our window faced the courtyard so we could hear the El train come and go but it was not bothersome. The room was stocked with mini fridge, coffee/tea maker, safe, and hair dryer. The lobby/bar area was a great place to hang out. There was lemon water available and coffee in the morning. We got a free drink ticket to use each day, which was a nice perk. Plus having the bottles of water was helpful. Finally, the location couldn't be beat. We were a block from the El train station, which we frequently used and a few blocks from Millennium Park. Even though the hotel is under the El tracks, it never felt crowded or unsafe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Silversmith Hotel and would come back!

I've stayed here and the Palmer House the last few times I've been in Chicago. I prefer the Silversmith. The rooms are beautiful but it's the staff that makes it a great experience. Every single person from front desk, doorman, security- everyone is so welcoming and helpful with anything you may need. They will deliver ice to your room, hold your luggage, call a taxi for you with a smile. Just great people here.

Great location, clean hotel. The staff consistently went above and beyond. I highly recommend the Silversmith. Near Millennium Park, the museums, and Michigan Ave. You can walk, ride share, and ride the train. We’ll be back. Thanks for a great stay!

Location is incredibly convenient. The staff here made our stay so wonderful. The housekeeper made sure we had fresh towels and Lloyd the security guard was such a good guy. He went out of his way and walked me to a convenience store so I wouldn’t have to walk alone at night. Went with my daughter for a college visit and everyone went out of their way to make it a special trip. The provided toiletries smelled sooo good too!

I chose the Silversmith Hotel as it is a member of the Historic Hotels of America and I've found that HHA hotels have historic significance and beautiful design. My friend and I also wanted a small-ish hotel, and the Silversmith has only 144 rooms. The rooms were a good size even though we had 2 queen beds. The bar/restaurant area is large and comfortable with a nice menu (and a free drink coupon for each of the 5 nights we were there). We were really pleased with the location in the North Loop and it couldn't be more convenient for the L train. (Rooms at the back are quieter.) Enrique the porter and Renee in the bar were very helpful, as were the reception clerks we spoke to. I recommend the Silversmith and would stay there again.
