This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

I've probably stayed at the Palmer House two dozen times over the years and I can't ever remember finding myself in a room with a great view. The hotel is surrounded by other high-rise buildings, so my guess is there really isn't a "great view" in the classic sense. That said, when booking, I would speak directly with one of the reservations staff right there at the hotel, tell him or her you want a room with the best view the Palmer House has to offer, and see where they put you.

There are different options available. You can pre-purchase and park below the hotel (keep in mind the spaces available in this option are rumored to be "tight" and it is sometimes difficult to park). Our recommended garage across the street from the hotel at 55 E. Monroe is $46/night once you validate your ticket at the hotel. our valet parking is $82/night. Both options include in and out privileges.
