Eurostars Magnificent Mile is located in the heart of Chicago, in the prestigious River North neighborhood, surrounded by the shops, bars and restaurants of the iconic Magnificent Mile. The hotel features an industrial-chic style with exposed concrete ceilings and avant-garde elements which contrast with the wooden floors and soft tones of all the rooms, creating a cozy atmosphere. Moreover, there is a wellness area offering a wide variety of beauty and massage treatments, as well as a sauna. Guests can also enjoy dinner at the Portsmith restaurant, which serves fish and seafood, or end the day while tasting a cocktail on the Apogee terrace

Initially we had some issues and it look like it may be a bad experience with the room staying here. However, Emilio sat down with us, listen to our concerns and took care of of the issue s we experienced. We were quite impressed with him and all of the staff Euro-stars hotel. We had a beautiful room with a great view of the city. This is a great example of how are you handle concerns and issues and whether you are willing to make it right for people.

If you’ve stayed here before-Dana Hotel and spa- Be prepared for a let down. Both door men are gone T.J. And Chris. Both bars and restaurant are closed. I thought I was at the wrong place. Ghost town. It’s dark and uninviting. Check in desk is still upstairs. People are nice. Room is nice. They charge $100 for incidentals, but they removed all food and wine from the room. My bed was excellent. The location is the best. Close to Hard Rock Cafe and Portillo’s. Masks are required every where in Chicago. The undertone here is not a good vibe. I look forward to going back home!!

We used to frequent this property when it was The Dana, so we were excited to return for our one night stay. The hotel has not reopened any of its amenities and that is not made clear when booking. No bars are open, no restaurant, no mini bar, no spa. When you walk in one of the glass front doors is missing. All of the furniture from the restaurant is piled up in the lobby. No door man to help with luggage. When you check in, you have to register all guests, sign a no party waiver and a no weapon waiver. WTF has been going on here… so many red flags. Also at check-in we were told of the “butler” service, aka room service to make up for the restaurant and bars in the hotel being closed. We scanned the QR code and ordered and paid for a bottle of wine. They called our cell moments later saying they didn’t have any wine (ANY) and would we like tequila. Waiting on that refund… We went out for dinner, and picked up wine at 7/11. Every time we were coming and going, there was a crowd at the check in desk. You know, just the employees buddies hanging out for the night in the abandoned hotel lobby… In summary, No restaurant. No lobby bar. No rooftop bar. No spa. No mini bar (to be fair, it was still in the room but taped shut) No room service. No lobby door— walk right in! Bottom line: stay anywhere else in the neighborhood.

When this was the Dana Hotel, it was upscale and trendy. Now, it's a dirty, dark sleazy dump. Nothing but guys with their cheap hookers staying here. The lobby bar is closed, although the website doesn't mention that. The mini-bar in the room is empty, although the website doesn't mention that. DO NOT STAY HERE. IT'S A TREMENDOUS WASTE OF MONEY.

I love this hotel. I stay here several times a year. The staff are nice and friendly. Chicago is open, but Eurostars seems to be the only hotel operating as if it’s still phase one of the pandemic. The management seems to have leaned into prolonging scaled back amenities and services that really make this an incredible hotel. I have stated at this hotel when it was the Dana snd I miss Teddy greeting me at the door, the snacks and wine options in the room are the experience that they need to get back to. The restaurant downstairs is still closed and it looks like it’s been abandoned for the foreseeable future. This is the first thing you see when you enter the hotel to get to the lobby. Were it not for the location, it’s hard to justify $200 plus a night. In fact, While I love it. I decided to move hotels my second night. This really is a 5 star hotel, but it continues to operate at a 3 star hotel. I do understand pandemic restrictions. I have also stayed at The Ritz Carlton during this time, and even during the pandemic, they didn’t compromise their commitment to their service and amenities. I say book your stay, but be informed that you won’t get all that this capable of for a unique hotel experience.
