They would have received a better rating, if their front reception staff had a clue. First after a long day, checked in around 3pm, to be woken up at 10pm asking if i am still going to be checking in?? But the worse was the lady at the front, offered an up grade for my second night, which was great and a better room. The morning after the free upgrade (keep in mind the resort was empty (this was Tuesday after Labor day weekend) I came down and she immediately wanted to know how i wanted to pay for the upgrade?? I said I asked if it was an additional charge and she said no! So she said OK I WILL CALL THE AUTORITIES TO SORT IT!! HUH? i SAID WAIT A MINUTE, SHE SAID THIS IS NOT A NEOGATION PAY OR I CALL THE POLICE (WHO IS EMPLOYED BY THEM). i WILL DISPUTE THE UPCHARGE AND BEWARE THEY ARE DESPERITE OBVIOUSLY. VERY SAD, THE REST OF THE STAFF SEEMED NICE, OF COURSE VISTORS ARE WHAT PAYS THEM.

Nice, large, new marina. Safe spot as the entry channel is rather long. From what I hear it’s close to good fishing. We were only there one night before heading to Bimini. When we were there last call for food at the restaurant was eight so we had to order a bunch of dishes and drinks at the bar before that. Service was typically Bahemian; unenthused and slow and the food was OK for Bohemian standard . The only thing that stood out to me was the overly positive and cheerful service we received at the convenience store by a young woman, she was by far the most helpful and positive woman working in all of the Bahamas. Service at the pool bar by the bartenders was also “whatever “. If this wasn’t midway between islands there would be no reason for me to return here. Nice horseshoe Bay Beach and large pool.

This is the perfect place if you like to be away from the crowds and melt into a life style on the water. Marina is well attended to and sheltered. The fishing and snorkeling is excellent. If your into bone fishing this is the place. The fish have little pressure on them and we caught consistent fish in the 6 pound range. The food is much improved from last summer. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This summer For the last 3 months I have been throughout the Bahamas 🇧🇸 traveling from island 🏝 to 🏝 . Here, we all help each other. 💝 When I fly to town for provisions, I make sure to ask anyone I come across that day, and the days leading up, if I can bring anything back - or - over for them. I don’t care if I’ve never met them, only just waved 👋 hello, or created a friendship 🤝. In a return of kindness, they make sure to offer me a ride if they see me walking, they make sure to help me get my provisions to the boat 🛥 , and they absolutely make sure I carry nothing in the process. Again, we help each other 💝. If they have a day off, we offer them to come out on the boat 🚤 , or to just hang out and have a drink 🥃 . Politics do not exist in these conversations, or moments. COLOR 🌈, is absolutely not a factor. We do not hate in expressions, words, or actions. We wave 👋 as you pass by, even if you do not. The reality is, we have our differences for sure, but they do not factor into the person we are individually, and to each other. No one here is walking around “identifying” as anything other than someone working hard to provide for themselves, & their families. Some of those have had to separate from their families leaving their island 🏝 so they could stay and provide for their loved 🥰 ones. I’m almost positive unless you have an allergy, you are not going to find vegans or vegetarians by choice, and “free range” are the chickens 🐔, roosters 🐓 & peacocks 🦚, running free on the island🏝… when I go fishing 🎣, 95%-100% is given away each time. Teach a girl to fish 🎣, she can feed an island… 😀🏝 🥰 It’s a true shame people would rather live in hate and fear, than live the island 🏝 life on mainland. The reality is, if you live with hate in your heart 🖤, it is only affecting you. Both internally, and externally, creating a divide between selfishness and selflessness. The saddest part when it comes to hate 🖤 & Kindness 💛, the ones who hate 🖤 are the most vocal. My time here is coming to an end this summer and I just want to thank all of those people who made this summer ☀️ a positive one. These wonderful people gave me a reset on humanity, and even though not everyone will see this post… Well, it’s an island 🏝 , they’ll hear about it eventually 😂♥️♥️🥰🥰 🇧🇸🇧🇸💫 You don’t have to be ignorant to be blissful 💫🇧🇸🇧🇸

Avoid this location if you can. The positive? New/renovated, clean and spectacular clubhouse. Great location for fishermen. Negatives: poor service. If you think this is a better location to clear customs, think again. Also the restaurant is understaffed for some odd reason. How can there be a labor shortage in the Bahamas? The food is horrible. It is no better than the dozens of waterfront pub food locations you see in Florida. For such an outstanding facility it is a huge disappointment. Weird, densely packed bungalows. Most aren’t waterfront. I didn’t see the accommodations; I just can’t see spending days in a resort like this without a waterfront view.
