The bordello operated illegally yet openly for nearly a century before closing in the late 1980s. Our halls and rooms honor the women who worked here by telling their stories and documenting their contribution to the town's past. Join us for a unique stay in historic Wallace, ID.

Stayed here last night. Now I can tell friends that I stayed in a bordello.
Filled with tasteful history and respect for the ladies of the night.
I was trying to remember one night in my entire life that I stayed at a corporate owned motel. I could not remember any single experience.
I believe I will remember this night the rest of my life because it's uniqueness and the tasteful tribute to American history in the West.
This is a privately owned mom and pop owned place. The owners are friendly and considerate.

The entire town of Wallace is a setting from 1920. Truly unique opportunity to immerse yourselves in the history of the West.

wife and I had a great time in Wallace, Idaho. very cool town, with lots of history and lots of great activities. some good restaurants, too. we spent two nights in the "Madame" suite of this former brothel. how to rate is challenging, because I would definitely stay there again, but don't want to give the wrong impression. Nice and Comfortable, and clean. I will call It "period" decorating - a 70s feel. so if you are looking for updated decor with all appointments, this one wont do. If you want to get some ambience of days gone by, then yes, it is pretty cool place to stay.... what happens in the Lux stays in the Lux. the staff were very courteous and friendly.

We spent Four Long Nights here. Super clean and the king bed room was super spacious. Bed was very comfortable. If that is ALL you need, you will be very happy.

But there is NO television, the Wi-Fi was completely useless (although advertised to have working Wi-Fi), and the room was SO dark, you could not even read at night. The walls, carpet, woodwork and window coverings were either dark gray or dark red. The one bedside lamp had a black shade; and the only other lamp was about 4 feet away from the bed. It was very depressing and tomb-like. The owners made some attempt to adjust the Wi-Fi but this was clearly not their expertise. It was not stated until we arrived that there is NO MAID SERVICE -- one night would be okay but any longer was just not very relaxing.

What a treat! After a long week of road-tripping through Montana Idaho Washington and Oregon and back- I was delighted to find that the Lux Hotel was open after a beautiful renovation of this historic Wallace brothel. I stayed in the lovely pink room. The artwork and amenities made for a fun and restful stay. My bed was so comfortable!
Thank you ! Thank you!

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not currently have secure storage for bicycles. I would recommend the Ryan Hotel across the street. They do have storage and are another unique, historical hotel of Wallace.
