Detailed Reviews
This is a no-frills campground. We had water & electric hookup, no sewer. We emptied at the dump station on our way out. Our decision to book a site here was based on its location right on a Rail-Trail & it’s not too far for a day trip to CDA. There were nothing geared towards kids and we knew that in advance. We used their bathroom once. It’s an old trailer with some DIY touches inside but it works. Overall the stay was ok, no complaints.

A lovely little spot by the river. Bike trails are right there, and the Hiawatha trail is about a 40 minute drive. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The camping spot were clean and nice. There are only group fire pits, they are right by the river. There was a swimming hole that was lovely to cool off in, it worked well for the kids too. One star loss because the garbage bin (which was massive) was grossly overflowing.

I have no doubt that the new owners of this campground will continue their improvements to it until it is fully a five-star facility. Their integrity and commitment is already obvious – proven by what they have already done.
As it is now, it is better than most of the RV parks we have stayed in during this 18 day trip. For instance, I have never seen as nice and as clean shower facilities.
The wide concrete pull-through pads and the larger than normal sites are also excellent.
The Coeur d’ Arlene River which runs along the edge of the campground is an amazing asset – it is such a pleasure to sit beside and enjoy the peace of the place.
It will take time for trees to grow at the sites that have no shade now, but this too will come.
Our congratulations to those new owners.
We Highly Recommend the CDA River RV, Riverfront Campground at Catalda, ID!

Due to fires in Canada and Spokane, the air quality was in the unhealthful category, so we canceled 5 days prior to our trip to CDA River RV & Glacier NP. The park does not give vouchers/refunds if canceling within a week. Won't stay here when we pass through the area next time.

We stayed here three nights. The manager was very pleasant. The grounds were clean and well-kept. The camper slabs were cement. The cones weren't a big deal, we were told to just drive up around them and we had a Ford F-250, no problem. There are three huge fire pits. The river is very nice. There is a bathroom trailer with showers and it was clean.
This campground is right off the interstate which is convenient, but a little noisy. The bathroom ran out of hand soap and it wasn't refilled. That is the only negative thing I have to say.
We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in northern Idaho again.

We were unable to stay as we could not get full hookup and my husband was having trouble walking, so separate toilet /showers would have been difficult; however, the owners were not only understanding, they refunded our money and were nothing but friendly, accommodating, and reasonable. The location is right on the river and everything looked clean and well kept. If we get through this way again under better circumstances, we will stay!

We came for a couple of nights with two other couples (three rigs). The park is clean and conveniently located in a beautiful spot. The trail is close and provides a really great walk. You won’t meet a nicer guy than the owner. We will definitely be back!!

Right along the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene bicycle trail. Approx. in the center of the 75 mile long trail so it is a good midpoint. It is near the Snake Pit [Good Dinning - see other review]. The campground is near I-90 so it is easily accessed, but bring earplugs if you are in a tent. Ear plugs probably not be needed in an RV. The showers and bathrooms are clean, but not fancy. The rate per night was good. You are also right on the Coeur d'Alene river. I'd like to come back and canoe the river and stay here.

I have stayed at this campground 4 times over the last 3 yrs. Love the location, clean showers and friendly owner. You can park on the cool grass under lofty shade trees. There is good river access. It does have freeway noise, but after a long day on my bike it never hampers my sleep. I will camp there again

This is a good overnight spot. The sites are large and level with no need to disconnect if staying just overnight. The sites are well kept and on grass. However, a little pricey for just water & electric. The staff were most helpful and accommodating. If highway noise bothers you this isn't the place for you as the park is located next to the interstate but it didn't keep us awake and we would use it again if we were traveling through.

Thank you for your review. We would also like to let other travelers know that we are an easy access Campground from the freeway, which unfortunately does give us a bit of noise.
